MM&L: Ammit (Ancient Egypt #4)

Ah, I see you've returned -- and just in time for your judgment! Ammit (AKA Ammut or Ahemait), our group's mascot, awaits as you continue on into the underworld. Next to the scales of justice, she sits eagerly as your heart is weighed against an ostrich feather. If your heart is impure, she's in for a treat! If not, well... I guess you can continue on. For now.

Ammit is here to help us take a break from "animal heads on broad shoulders." There is no form in which she is part human! Instead, she has the head of a crocodile, the forequarters of a lion, and the hindquarters of a hippopotamus. All man-eaters, all very scary.

You will be making one ATC for one partner that depicts Ammit. Any medium is welcome, but please make sure Ammit herself is hand-drawn or handmade in some way. The challenge this month is: survive the heatwave. That's it. I can't assign partners if there's no one left. Needless to say, I will be (attempting to) undertake the same challenge. Fair is fair.

Rules

• 1 ATC for 1 partner, extras not necessary but not actively discouraged

• standard ATC rules: 2.5" x 3.5", sturdy backing, send in a protective sleeve. Please include the swap name, your username, and the date on the back. I think it's also fun to sign them/receive them signed, but this is not required. If you do not sign, please write your first name and last initial as well.

• make sure Ammit is hand-made by you in some way. Any medium is acceptable, and the background can include collage elements, be totally hand-drawn, etc. Please take your time and make something you'd like to receive!

• portrait or landscape orientation are both acceptable

• 4 weeks to create and send, though because this is not profile-based, you may start early and ship it out once you have your partner!

• please rate a 5 if the card you receive meets the requirements. Give a heart if you love it.

• if there is any chance your envelope exceeds one ounce or will get classed as a small first class package, please make sure you add sufficient postage.

• If you will be late for any reason, please message both me and your partner as soon as you can. MM&L always angels for flaked swaps, but we haven't had one yet! If you have an emergency, take care of it and we'll work it out after.
