Wonderful Wiener Dogs (Edited)

On October 22, 2008, I had to say goodbye to a wonderful friend. Kato was a part of my life for 16 years, and this is a little tribute to him. Also, since joining Swapbot I found that there are a lot of people who own or have owned dachshunds/wiener dogs. Let's celebrate our hounds (past and present) by having a swap. Now, I understand that there are people who may wish to join, but may not have access to wiener dog stuff. Well, we want to accommodate you too! (see below). Also, this is a chance for you to receive something with your beloved breed.

You will have one partner, and this is an international swap.These can be handmade or bought.

To your partner you will send 3 items. The choices are below:

• An ATC with a dachshund
• a matchbox with a dachshund
• a bookmark with a dachshund
• dachshund stickers
• dachshund magnet
• a letterset with dachshunds
• a notecard set with dachshunds
• a dachshund or dog magazine (apparently available at PetCetera or pet stores)
• 1 profile surprise

• optional a little something for their dog, if applicable

• Please enclose a card with a description of your little friend and a picture if you'd like (past or present).

If you cannot find anything in your town with a wiener dog/dachshund, please don't despair. The purpose of this swap is to celebrate our little long dogs, and if you can't find the items on the list that you chose, then that is fine. Just do the rest of the items to match your partner's profile. For example, if you chose the bookmark, stickers and letterset,but could not find any with dachshunds,maybe your partner likes daisies. Feel free to send them the daisy items,but also include the card talking about your wiener dog.

You must have a rating of at least 4.8 to join. Please no no-sends or bizarre happenings (this is my first swap). Newbies are welcome if you have a very thorough profile.This is to celebrate our breed, and no one will know you have/had a dachshund if you haven't mentioned it in your profile.

This is a tribute after all is said and done. If you have any decency,you will not flake or be a flaker when you sign up. Because if you do, well, I'll hunt you down, and beat you with a stick. And I won't be alone:the wrath of a million ankle biting,yapping dachshunds will be upon you, and the wrath of many ticked off swappers. You'll go on a blackball list, and your name will be spread on the forums as a bad swapper.Then good luck with participating in any more swaps. Told you I wouldn't be alone.
