MM&L: Sobek ATC (Ancient Egypt #5)

Whoa, it's you! Good to see you again, fellow traveler. And to think, running into you at Crocodilopolis (or, you know, Shedet) after all this time. Well I'll be. Hope you've been keeping cool, sure is nice to be right by the Nile. Too bad -- or maybe, too good? -- about all the crocodiles.

Sobek (alternately, Sbk, Sebek, Sobki, and Souk) is a lot of things. A protector, a god of military and pharaonic power, a god of fertility. Additionally, and potentially most importantly: a dude with a crocodile head instead of a human head.* A dude who made Egyptians put anklets on real life crocodiles like they were beautiful, beautiful ladies.

For this swap, you will be making your partner one Sobek ATC. Any medium is welcome, but please make sure that Sobek himself is hand-drawn or handmade. He should also be depicted in his anthropomorphic form. For our challenge, we’re bringing back a classic! Please include the hieroglyphs for Sobek’s name somewhere on the front of the ATC. You may use either, though I am partial to the second:

• • Sobek was later fused with other gods and was depicted with their heads. We will stick to the croc for this one!

Rules 

• 1 ATC for 1 partner, extras not necessary but not actively discouraged 

• standard ATC rules: 2.5" x 3.5", sturdy backing, send in a protective sleeve. Please include the swap name, your username, and the date on the back. I think it's also fun to sign them/receive them signed, but this is not required. If you do not sign, please write your first name and last initial as well. 

• make sure Sobek is hand-made by you in some way. Any medium is acceptable, and the background can include collage elements, be totally hand-drawn, etc. Please take your time and make something you'd like to receive! 

• be sure to include one of the two sets of hieroglyphs for Sobek’s name on the front of your ATC

• portrait or landscape orientation are both acceptable 

• 4 weeks to create and send, though because this is not profile-based, you may start early and ship it out once you have your partner! 

• please rate a 5 if the card you receive meets the requirements. Give a heart if you love it. 

• if there is any chance your envelope exceeds one ounce or will get classed as a small first class package, please make sure you add sufficient postage. 

• If you will be late for any reason, please message both me and your partner as soon as you can. MM&L always angels for flaked swaps, but we haven't had one yet! If you have an emergency, take care of it and we'll work it out after.
