The hills are alive! Yeah! This swap is dedicated to one of the campiest, cheekiest, and oddly, most beautiful movies ever made, "The Sound of Music." You'll receive one partner, and send her/him a "Sound of Music"-themed package of some kind. Handmade items are, of course, welcome! Send your partner some knitted edelweiss, a remixed soundtrack, a painting of the Von Trapps, a headscarf made from old curtains -- whatever you'd like. Be creative! Have fun! I can't wait to see what you come up with! Please upload pictures! This swap is international, and newbies are welcome if their profiles are completed. Due to customs regulations, please do not send schnitzel with noodle.

Have you been to a Sound Of Music Singalong? It's fab. The original Rolf was the emcee. It was kinda creepy watching him sing "You are 16" to a teenager.

Yes, I've been to a sing-along "Sound of Music" -- once in New York, and twice in San Francisco. I sang my tootsies off!

Original Rolf sounds creepy!

I've also been to sing-alongs for "Grease" and "West Side Story." I'm a little obsessed.

I am so sorry, people, but I'll have to drop this swap. :-( Brazilian Customs are turning swap into a living hell for me at the moment. Everything gets stuck there and they won't release anything.

I am really sorry to drop this, for SoM is one of my favorite movies of all time!

My husband and I rented Sound of Music last weekend, so that I could get some ideas going for this swap. There's a really cool 40th anniversary edition out right now that has some neat extras on it, including a documentary program about the real Von Trapp family. It was really interesting.
