Okay, we've all seen that video of the lady making the cute box covered in scrapbook paper from a package of gum.

Let's do something different. We aren't going to use a template as such, but even better, a ready made box.

Search your Linen Closet for an unopened bar of soap (full size not trial size). Open the soap box at one end and remove the soap. Take your box and cover and decorated your little box with any patterned scrapbook paper or even wallpaper scrap. Fill your box with little trinket goodies of your choice and send to your partner.

The picture is of one I just created the other day and I really like how it turned out. It smells good and it's sturdy too. pic

Feel free to Join - Swap Botters Unite and display your Beautiful Soap Box proudly.

HAVE FUN! All are free to join in on this one, accept of course the Flakers. After all, we all want to receive something.

Good news! I will be able to angel for any that have the misfortune of being flaked. Flakers will be gauked at on my Top 100 Swaplifters list until the swap is satisfied.

The box I am sending can not be flattened.. So I might suggest reinforcing the container with something like styro-foam..I just received a matchbox that was not protected.. and it was destroyed in route.. sad.. : ( The soap box is a nice size to work with..

snowqueen did you receive the destroyed matchbox from me? Let me know which swap if so. I will usually use cut up boxes to line the inside of the envelope.

this is really cute! i REALLY dislike bar soap, but i might have to buy some anyway to join this swap! watching for now. VERY neat idea, though!

RainbowSplatter, ask your neighbor or co-worker for an empty box. Just a way of not having to buy a bar for the box.

Can you give examples of the types of trinkets you are talking about? I am new and not sure what you mean :)

@2boys2girls examples would be - those little extra things you know you won't use such as, thread, buttons, beads, pre-made magnets, (those big bite) rivets, pieces of broken jewelry, chip boards, etc... Does this help?
