Write this story!

Just a small swap to get our imagination fired up! :-)

I am fascinated with telling stories of strangers, be it random people I meet on the streets or I see at pictures. So I came up with this little swap with a twist:

When partners are assigned, I distribute e-mail-adresses of participants via e-mail; you then will write the partner that is supposed to send to you immediately a quick e-mail with a digital picture attached; your partner will write a little story inspired by that picture and email this story back to you.

That's it, an easy and fast group-starter. :-)

Some general stuff:

• It can be a picture you have taken yourself, but it can also be one you have downloaded of the internet.
• If you use internet-stuff, please be sure you link to the source where you have found the picture. It would be very considerate if you would use copyright-free material, because if your partner is like me, she will probably want to use it in her blog or even make a zine out of her story, and she could include the picture only if it was free of copyrights. At least include a warning if your material is not free to further use for publishing.
• You are not restricted to any kind of motif of the picture you are sending, you are completely free to chose whatever you want to. Make it challenging and fun for your partner! :-)
• Your partner likewise is not restricted to any kind of genre or style of writing.
• I will not demand a certain length of the story - this is a group-swap, and we all are grown-ups with lots of sense of swap-honor.
• Stories you send have to be in .doc (Microsoft Word), .rtf, .odt (OpenOffice - Writer) or .pdf-format.
