should it be in English?

Starwatcher 12/23/2009 #

I think it would be fun if it were not in English - I have an instruction book written in Japanese that really is fun to look at. I'd love even more to have one in Russian or German. Let's see what travelgirl says.

I agree with Starwatcher. I think it would be totally cool to get a mag in a different language. Of course, posting this guarantees that I will get someone from the states that sends me a mag I already have. hee hee hee

I don't think you can send magazines Media Mail. You can send books and cd's but not magazines.

Starwatcher 12/23/2009 #

I guess the other question would be - do the magazines hae to be new or can they be an older one? I have some copies of prior years Somerset Memories, Belle Armoir, etc. that might be of interest to someone.

According to my post office you cannot send anything with advertisements in it media mail...these could go parcel post though. But sending international could be up to $5.

Does the magazine have to be new

travelgirl 01/ 7/2010 #

no, it doesnt have to be new, it can be in any language!

travelgirl 01/ 7/2010 #

I will have to double check on the media mail situation but it still should be light either way

I sent a mag from Oz to US last yr and it cost me $20Au - mag was only $7!!! Love foreign mags but can't afford the postage. Sorry, good luck & have fun with swap:)

I've just joined and I'm in Scotland.... is the picture linked with the swap the quality of mag you want swapped? Love the idea, thanks for setting up.

travelgirl 01/ 9/2010 #

any kind of craft related magazine is correct.

glendas 01/ 9/2010 #

I would like painting like Quick n Easy or Painting mags and any old craft mag but not Craft n things or Create and Decorate because I surscribe to them but a Better Homes and Garden craft or dolls or doll house mags would be great thank or just ask me,.
