Do you want more buttons & maybe get some that you could never find in your area? Then this may just be the swap for you.. This swap will be detailed & take some effort so if you have a 1 or a 3 then you will not get to join this time around. And you must have been ratted for at least 5 swaps. This swap is for buttons that are used for sewing, not pin on buttons.. Now for the fun stuff!! I wanted this to be like a Scavenger Hunt, & let us be creative in what we send. You will have 1 partner and you will send that partner a total of 30 buttons. But you will send the buttons as follows; 4 Purple Buttons, any shade 4 Yellow Buttons, any shade 4 Green Buttons, any shade 4 Blue Buttons , any shade 4 Gold Buttons, any shade 4 Odd Shaped Buttons ie. star, hearts, large oval, ball type buttons 4 Buttons that would match your partners profile, ie. colors, shapes of food, animals. 2 giant buttons, 1in or bigger. You can start looking for your buttons now and have all of them ready except for the 4 profile buttons, so you will have plenty of time to get this one all ready to go.. You can use any shade of the colors listed and they can have any thing on them as long as the color is in with it. They must be interesting buttons not all solid colors. How ever you can not count one button as two, a gold star is either a gold button or a shaped button. There as to be 30 total buttons. I would put the 4 in each group in a small envie, pocket, what ever and put which group it is falling under. You can find neat buttons all over. I like going to thrift stores and finding a ugly .25 shirt/pants with neat buttons and taken them off to use. You can send your handmade buttons too, as long as they have a spot to put thread threw.. If this goes good there will be others & i will make a craft swap useing buttons after this swap as ended, so be watching for this. the mini M&M tubes, and small candy tins make good things to put buttons in. Just to verify these buttons can be spares and do not have to be on cards straight from the store.

They can be new, old ones from your stash, thrift store finds, or vintage. As long as there in good condition they will be fine. No chips, cracks or peeling paint/fabric. I have some old lead buttons from the 40 or 50s. There are so neat. But really soft because of the lead, so they bend easy. But I Love them, they make for some neat add ons.. I hope all who are watching for now will join in!!

@igobylorib you can ask your partner & work it out with them. If they argee to send that instead that is fine. Or they could send you the gold and send silver for your profile colours... Thats funny becuase i had put silver at first then changed it to gold, because i find silver all the time & thought maybe the gold would be more of a challenge to find.

If this one goes well & there are a lot of intrest toward the signup/drop date then i will go ahead a make the next swap to get it started. There will be more buttons to send in it!! And a little more of a challenge..

I hope that you guys watching will join in too!! I have been thinking of what we can make with our buttons after this swap. I will make a swap up using buttons, so we can put them to use. So what do you think about a button Fairy swap? Or making a button jar/box to hold some buttons. The next Buttons Buttons Buttons Scavenger hunt #2 will have us collecting the buttons then we will have to make a button Whimsy jar to send them into our partner. I just want to get any thoughts you all may have on these ideas. Thank you all for being in the swap, i think it will be fun!

Okay, I am thinking of colours for the #2 swap. so please list any that you would like to see in it bellow. I will give a few days before i start up the next one to se what you would like to have in it. There will also be a spot for you to say what button you want to get in the next one so keep this in mind when your thinking of your colours.. We have a great group of swappers here , i think you will all be pleased with your partners. There are 2 who have had a 3 or 1 but that was over two years ago and i understand why they happen just by reading it, so i fill safe with them, plus they have a whole lot of swaps under there belt since then!! OH No I have been drop due to not enough send requirement...is there anyone who would like to do personal swap. I went out this week thrift shopping and craft shopping and have gotten all my buttons for this swap. Thank you Koalascout
