These puffy hearts where made by Belinda Spiwak,she wrote a tutorial for the Paper Cloth Scissors newsletter last year.Maybe it is still available?

They give instructions but really there isn't much to these. You can just cut your fabric, sew it, stuff it and embellish it however you choose. My goal is to eventually have a basket full of them. I've made 3 already and they were so easy and soooo cute!!

I finished all my hearts last night. I loved making them. One question; Can anyone suggest how I can ship them and not be so expensive. My hearts are a little puffy. Can I still ship them in an envelope? Does the postoffice allow that? Does anyone know????

Had a nice day off by myself at home....and I started working on these little hearts....what fun I'm having!! I used thin cotton batting as a base to sew on narrow strips of fabric...and I'm adding some neat stitches with my machine...who knows what else..HA!! Thanks lvpoohbr2 for hosting this for us!!

CraftyRabbit~I think the best way to ship these would be in a large envelope or padded envelope. It should be cheaper than in a box. This is a US only swap so there shouldn't be any international rate issues. I hope this helps.

preslarb~I too am having fun with this. Tonight I will attempt some of the decorative stitches my machine has. I've never used them before so I may have to practice a bit on some scrap. I can't wait to have a whole basket of these like in the picture.

Checking: do the three hearts per partner need to be in a connected chain or just single puffy hearts? Excited to use some fancy fabrics I have been saving!

I believe it is 1 heart each to 5 partners. Each heart is individual. The size is 3" to 6"....

Hi all - So I made some practice hearts this morning. But the "V" of the heart is puckered, even with clipping. Any suggestions how to eliminate the puckering? I am looking in my "Sewing for Dummies" book and on YouTube but no help so far...thanks. You can email me with answers.

smmarrty~I'm not turning my hearts inside out to sew them. I'm sewing wrong sides together and stuffing them. That way you can make the edges fringed or use neat stitches etc. I hope this helps.

Thanks. Instead of sewing a "V" I sewed a "U" with a flat/straight bottom, and it seems to work well. I will be sending tomorrow.
