Pretty simple and straightforward swap--Make 5 handmade postcards out of anything and in any medium as long as they can survive in the mail, then mail them to 5 partners. It's as easy as that! Please be respectful and don't sign up if you don't intend to send. And please let me know if someone does not send because I'd be happy to angel for you if needed!

Is the theme of the postcards senders choise or do they need to be profile specific?

YooperHill 02/25/2010 #

I think it is what it is. I don't try to read more into it. I read it as your choice!

greengirl 02/25/2010 #

It's definitely your choice! Don't have to worry about your partners likes or dislikes, it's a risk--and definitely worth it!

im so pumped for this! no one ever sends me handmade postcards! they're my favorite!!

I know some postcard swaps are really picky about NOT putting postcards in an envelope, but bits come off handmade posties when they're going through machines. So, my question is, can the postcards be sent in an envelope?

FarStarr 03/ 9/2010 #

I prefer mine NAKED! ...postcards, that is...

greengirl 03/ 9/2010 #

I suppose you can send them either in an envelope or naked... it's your choice, but if you prefer to send them naked then send them naked!

lindsay 03/12/2010 #

I would prefer naked! I like to see what the postal system does to postcards as they're travelling through it!

lexieforever 03/14/2010 #

i would prefer naked as well

papercaper 03/14/2010 #

I'd prefer naked too. Like Lindsay, part of the 'art' of it, for me, is the effect of its process through the mailing system. It adds patina even if that means bits must fall off, but that's part of our responsibility, isn't it? Trying to account for that ahead of time? ;)

I received a wonderful, collaged, wooden postcard with a mermaid, shell and map today but it wasn't signed. If you sent it, please let me know! If not, hopefully I can figure it out by process of elimination as my other postcards arrive!
