Description:

US only at this time, but if there is enough interest, I will either make this swap international, or start another.

Many of us are thinking about getting our children back to school with all the proper supplies needed, but this swap will be for items our children's teachers will need.

You will have one partner for this swap. Many of these items can be used by teachers of any grade, but if you have a specific request for what grade to consider (i.e. high school or elementary) please list it here or contact your partner when they are assigned.

The close of this swap will be the end of August, giving all of us the chance to hit the back to school sales. We'll start swapping at the end of September to (hopefully!) give time for the dust to settle and everyone to get into the school routine.

Suggestions include, but are certainly not limited to:

Desk Supplies (paper clips, pencils/pens, stamp pad, stapler, staples, labels, tape, etc.)

Stickers for the graded papers (Good job, Way to Go, Excellent, etc.)

Rubber Stamps (Sign here, Great Work, Shapes, Smiley/Sad Faces, etc.)

Award Certificates (Reading Award, Star Student, Art Award, etc.)

Classroom Decorations (posters, charts, calendars, window clings, hall passes, etc.)

Handmade gift of thanks to the teacher for a job well done. (bookmark, small knickknack, etc.)

Most of these items can be purchased at a dollar type store, so there will be a minimum of $10.00 before postage. Knowing how little our teachers are paid and how these items usually are out of pocket expenses, spending more than $10.00 is certainly alright as well.

Rules and Regs: 4.7 or higher please with no "no sends" within the last 2 months. If anyone sees a questionable swapper in the list, please contact me. I will ban participants after the deadline.

If there are any other suggestions, PLEASE add them here or contact me directly! This is my first swap and I want to make sure it is a great one!

I love this swap idea! I will be the teacher for my kids this year (we home school) so I thought I would love to join!! I am not picky on items! I have two in second grade and one in first grade!

I'm glad you joined too! And I'm tickled to see you homeschooling. I wanted to home school my sons, but I found I made a lousy teacher. So now I just supplement what the public system does.

It's almost time! I've already picked up a few "generic" type goodies for my partner, but once things start settling down for your specific classes, post what some of your needs/wants are. That way, maybe our partners will be able to design a package specifically to YOU!

Thanks for joining my first swap everyone! I'm really looking forward to this!

I teach second grade and I live in Hawaii. I would love things from where you live (postcards, tourist attraction brochures, cheap souvenirs, etc. )to share with my kids. A lot of them don't get a chance to go to the Mainland so anything you could send would be appreciated! Things that have to do with fall or winter are great too because we don't really experience those seasons here.

I teach kindergarten so whomever has me please keep the 5 year olds in mind. Stamps are great (they love getting different picture stamps on their papers each day), stickers are fun, pretty much anything.

Thank you for thinking of the teacher in this swap!

Honeybee, I love that idea of the brochures as well as things dealing with actual seasons. We sure do take things for granted sometimes don't we?

For my partner: This package will be for a third grade class. Pencils are definitely something needed, but I'm positive anything that is sent will be very much appreciated!

Thanks so much!

I am so glad you like it! I taught 3rd grade for many years and sometimes miss it. I give you permission to keep at least the coffee so you can sip it when you sit on your porch swing!

PERFECT!

I think I will do that right now! It's a beautiful day outside right now. Just cool enough for the coffee to the best warmer-upper. And it smells soooooo good right now!
