I am a busy teacher but when I have the time I like to make crafts, bake, play volleyball, read mysteries, and shop. My favorite colors are red, blue and purple. My favorite animals are bees, owls, dogs, giraffes, and hedgehogs. I collect things with bees, antenna balls, handcrafted items by others, handmade bracelets, snowmen, souvenir pens, and souvenir magnets. I love Asian things, especially Japanese fabrics and kawaii products (Sanrio, San-X, Kamio, etc.). My ultimate favorite character is Sweet Coron but I'm open to most characters. I try to travel at least once a year and love learning about new places, especially about local eateries and local foods. It would be nice if you could include a postcard of where you live with your swap.
Note- I am allergic to dairy products(lactose-intolerant), floral-scented products, and things that smell like cigarette smoke.
I listen to most types of music. I am open to listening to unknown artists and to different genres.
I love Poltergeist, Uncle Buck, Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice, My Cousin Vinny, The Natural and Beauty and the Beast.
I don't watch much tv but I like Project Runway and any Food Network show. I also like to watch cute animal videos and craft tutorials on the internet.
I love making holiday craft projects with my kids. If that scares you, I did minor in Art in college so I do know how to paint and draw. My current favorites to make are inchies, twinchies, rolos and matchboxes. I also do some scrapbooking, sewing dotee dolls, rubber stamping, lei-making and making ATCs. I like to do hand embroidery and make small felt toys. Craft supplies for any of the mentioned crafts will be put to good use. I admire and appreciate other people's talents so handmade swap items are the best! I especially like crocheted or knitted things because I have failed miserably learning these skills.
I wouldn't want to receive these items:
*earrings
*religious items
*coffee
*banana-flavored foods
*orange, green, or gray clothes
*anything with a strong floral or cigarette odor
*incense
I don't like the following in kawaii swaps:
*frogs
*people characters
*poop
I would love any of these items:
colorful or fun-shaped brads
foods with faces stationery/stickers/pens
clip art that would fit on an inchie
mushroom stickers.
vintage-looking scrapbook embellishments
any craft supply sold at Jo-Ann's or Michael's (no stores in my state)
little toys I can put in my prize box at school
text in foreign languages to use in collages
