atc

I was in a swap something like this one awhile back and it was so much fun,, I though some of you might like it..

It's kinda like the 1 for all swaps but a little different

Everyone saves the image of the pig, ,, prints it out and then design it on your atc..

Everyone Must use this pig image

all designs from zentagle your pig to, drawing, ink, rubber stamp, crayons, collage, you can even trace this pig from a pretty magazine page... anything works..

your pig should be big enough to fit comfortably on your atc...

atc size 2.5 x 3.5

here is example of one that I did....

atc

I used tattoos to design this one

1 pig for 1 partner...

Have fun

I've never come across this idea and I think it's fantastic. Watching for now.

Love pigs and the swap!! Can't wait to get started

I am making several of these little piggies. They are so cute! I do have a question though.

When I printed out the pig image, it fit comfortably in an ATC sleeve, but it wasn't as long as an ATC. Is that a problem?

Also, I see that it says it should fit comfortably on an ATC card. I certainly plan on putting hard work into these little guys, but I wanted to know if the focus for rating is on the pig, the card the pig is on or both. For example, can the pig be mounted on a shutter card that opens and closes over it?

I'm sorry I am asking so many questions. I have been making ATCs since 2006, but I have always been afraid to join swap bot because of the rating system. I want to do this right and so my questions will hopefully help me make them right for my first Swap Bot experience!

The reason I said that the pig should fit comfortably on an ATC Is because I knew everyone would not print it out the same size,,, The size of the pig should not be that important and the rating I hope everyone gives is more based on the way the pig is designed... That the main part of this swap,,everyone has the same pig regardless of it's size but everyone will decorate differently...

You can put your pig on a background, add wings or whatever the main thing should be the pig it's self...

The card must atc size and a folded atc would make a very nice creative atc,, My personal law that I live by is,,If it fits into a card sleeve then it is good to go...

Most of have fun and make a pig proud

I have been asked to do a cat after this one so if anyone else has an ideal for this type of swap just pm me message and I'll see what I can do...

Those cows are in Kansas City too. I think the cat is a fabulous idea and thanks Raven for your helpful response.

We have decorated Bears here in my area of North Carolina,,and since I live close to the Cherokee Reservation most of them are done Native American style and they are so cool...

Have seen the bears in NC and they are beautiful. Berea, KY has gorgeous painted hands. Love this swap idea. Watching for now but hope to join closer to the date.

Long Beach Island, New Jersey has decorated giant Clam shell statues (http://www.reclamthebay.org/oldfiles/giantclam.htm)

In Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, not surprisingly - there are Groundhog statues all over town! (http://www.punxsutawney.com/phils/)

I'd love to do more of these! So fun, mine is already made, and I can't wait to send it once partners are assigned!!!

raven 08/ 2/2010 #

I don't get on swap-bot over the weekend anymore.. I was spending way too much time here so now the 2 weekend days are for my family only...Saturday and Sunday I reserve for them and stay of all swapping places...You have to prioritize sometimes....

From now I will not let any more swaps end on the weekend...

love the above ideals and I am keeping a note and we will do them all

MrMcCrayon 08/20/2010 #

I'm not sure what to do. I mailed my pig out some time ago. My partner hasn't acknowledge they have recieved it yet.

Should I send a new one?

Im not sure what to do.
