Description:

@heather76 recommend a LP swap on the forum, so here it is!

A lucky parcel is a package of goodies for your partner, wrapped up like a pretty gift! The lucky parcel you'll be making for your partner will be themed to your partner's request, and profile based - which means in addition to your partner's request, you should try to favor their favorite colors and avoid things on their "dislike" list.

Please list 2 or 3 requests below for your sender to choose from; they should be from our group name, either zombies, aliens, vampires, monsters, or robots. You can also be a little more specific, for example "vampires, but not Twilight vampires" or "monsters, especially Monsters Inc. monsters".

Requirements for the package:

  • contains at least 4 items

  • contains 1 handmade item; i.e. a softie, an ATC, etc.

  • items should be gift wrapped or presented in a gifty-type-fashion

  • size should be a U.S. small Priority mail box, or equivalent (or larger), which measure 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" (21.9 cm x 13.7 cm x 4.1 cm) and mail for $4.95 in the U.S. I'm hoping everyone that's not in the U.S. can find something close to this size!

As it's a group swap, there will be no rating requirements, but I will check profiles before assigning partners to make sure there's enough info for your partner to know how to spoil you!

Mine to choose from are: 1) monsters, but please no "name-brand" monsters; 2) vampires but not Twilight or Vampire Diaries. I like True Blood and historical vamps (Dracula, or Elizabeth Bathory!); 3) zombies!

Also, I was asked if sending all handmade items was allowed, and yes it is. The minimum is 1, but you can send as many handmade items as you wish; provided, of course, that you put time and effort into them, as I'm sure you all will.

I'd love: 1) robots, 2) classic movie monsters (Dracula, Frankenstein, etc) 3) zombies

I love handmade items, all colors and mediums are okay with me.

I'd like: 1) Classic movie monsters (particularly the Bride of Frankenstein, but I love the whole Universal line), 2) robots, 3) zombies.

For me: 1) Classic movie monsters ::LOVE Frankenstein's monster and Bride of Frankenstein!!!! But the Wolfman, Creature, The Mummy, Phantom, and of course Dracula are awesome too.

2) Vampires ::NOT Twilight or Vampire Diaries or any cheesy vampire craziness. Classic Vampires like Nosferatu and Dracula, even Bella Lugosi::

3) Zombies. Gotta love them :)

1- Any critter that you made with your own itty bitty hands

2- Any critter what is purple

3-NO "emotional wreck" vampires, as to quote Craig Ferguson, " I like my vampires to be fang-gy."

=)

I'm all about 1) Zombies of any kind, the gorier and better. 2) Monsters/ little scary/cute ones or sea monsters (Nessie / Cthulhu / killer sirens / giant squids, etc). 3) Vampires, excluding Twilight and Vampire Diaries. True Blood or Anne Rice ones are cool though.

I really love any of the the "subjects" this group is about... but I'll narrow down my absolute favorites to: * vintage/retro style robots * monsters (classic movie or cryptozoological or mythological or cutesy-pie) * aliens (any and all)

but really - anything under the umbrella of Zombies, Aliens, Vampires, Monsters & Robots

1) Vampires- Elizabeth Bathory, Count Orlok (Nosferatu), and Dracula.

2) Monsters- Bride of Frankenstein (such a cool hair-do).

I love handmade items and much prefer them to store bought, so if my partner would like to send me all handmade items I am more than happy with that.

I was getting worried for a minute there at the end, but it's super awesome that everyone sent! Personally, I give a day or two leeway, so by my book, everyone sent on time! (pretty much) And that's great, and more proof that this is a good group. Hope you are all happy with your packages (especially you @heather76 :) )!!
