I did this swap many times in a group and we had lots of fun with it. :-)

Are you tired of the extras? Sending and recieving? Then this swap is for you! :-)

If you want to send extras, then DON'T join THIS swap please!!!

You have one partner and will send your partner 1 and I repeat only 1 thing, that you think she/he would love!

Nothing more and no extras!!!

Take a look at your partner's profile and decide, what would bring a smile on her/his face. :-)

The amount should be about 5 US-Dollar.

You need to have a min. of 15 Typ 3-swaps sent and rated with a 5. Please have a rating of min. 4,9.

See this as a challenge and have fun! :-)

I will check profiles and angel this if necessary.

Does this mean that there will be no hearts given whatsoever?

purplestar 07/28/2010 #

Hearts are given for extra special, thought or effort.

this is the idea. :-) Like purplestar said. Hearts should always be given, if you see, that your partner put thought and love into it and not because of sending extras! Well, that's my opinion. Of course you can give a heart littlebear. :-) It's always your choice, in every swap. Nobody can force you to give one or not!

Yes, I like this idea too. Can I say nicely, that it seems to me that a lot of people think you have to recieve extras before you give a heart. Like hearts are just for extras. I did a little experiment. I was putting lots of extras in packages and got lots of hearts. Then I sent the same quality of swap but without the extras and the number of hearts dropped dramatically. Interesting! I'm now working out what to do next because it can become quite expensive always adding extras.

I so agree with you Gofeen! I only put extras in my packages, if I have something I know my partner would love. But it's an extra and it isn't added to get a heart. So sometimes I send an extra and sometimes not.

I always give a heart if it looks like my partner at least tried to send me something profile related or did an amazing job creating a hand made craft. If they just tossed any old thing in an envelope and it met the bare swap requirement they only get the 5, no heart. The heart to me is the thank you for taking the time to do a good swap. The 5 is the relief that it was mailed and on time. lol. I know how I feel when I put a lot of effort into fulfilling the swap requirement and only get a 5 without a heart. It's like the thank you for your effort is missing especially when I make sure that they get only profile related stuff.. Just my feeling and I keep a list of those that seem to not appreciate the time and expense and if I get them for a partner again I make sure that they only get the minimum swap requirement from me in the future.

Hmmm... I see it a little different. For me the 5 is a thank you for a good swap and the heart is for, Wow, you really really made my day. :-) But of course that's my point of view.

What a wonderful idea! As for me I give a heart if I see that someone really put some love and effort into the swap. For me it doesn't matter if my partner added a lot of extras or not - my hearts don't depend on the extras I get.

Think so too Gusti! :-)
