Description:

Are you like me in that you really love Monday through Saturday because they are mail days and are potential days the mail person will put fun swap mail in your mailbox? Then Sunday comes and no mail is delivered and it seems soooo long that we have to wait until Monday comes again.

I think I have a fun solution that will allow us to "get mail on Sunday."

You will put together a fun package for your partner that includes:

  • 1 envelope to be opened upon receipt of the package.

  • 1 envelope to be saved and opened on Sunday. (Of course it's your choice if you want to open it sooner, but come on, challenge yourself – wait until Sunday, I know you can do it.)

It's sender's choice on whether they want to designate which envelope is to be opened immediately and which is to be saved until Sunday. Perhaps you'll be creative in how you present each envelope.

[Note 1: You can use other things besides an envelope, like wrapping each item up like a present, etc.]

[Note 2: I hate to put spending limits on these types of swaps, but as people may ask, let's go with a minimum of a $2-3 dollars per envelope. You can send more if you like. That said, what you give doesn't even necessarily have to be store-bought, it could be something you made and it's hard to put $ limits in this category. Again, see paragraph below. Hope this helps.]

I'm not putting a limit on what you put in either of the envelopes. Try to make it profile rated if possible; if not just make sure you send something you think will make your partner smile!

This swap is open to newbies; no recent 1s or 3s. I will check profiles and reserve the right to ban anyone who I think might flake. Please play nice!

Depending on the sign-ups, I might make this a monthly swap.

As someone asked about spending limits in the USA version, I've added a "Note 2." The main thing is to make your partner smile.

For the record, Canada doesn't have Saturday delivery either. Weekends are loooong without mail :(

Australia doesn't have mail on Sat or Sun either. You have just given me a reason to move to the USA lol

@kataish and @catestalkergc oh that's "terrible" not having Sat or Sun mail. There was actually talk about cancelling Sat mail here in the USA too, because they're losing $ with so many people doing business online. For now we're safe though.

Here where I live in Texas we do not have saturday or sunday mail service. My post office is so tiny that they even lock the doors and you can't check your boxes. It is going to happen all over the US soon.

wahey belgium doesn't deliver on saturdays and sundays either :/

Perhaps I shall have things to be opened saturday and sunday for my partner if they live in a place with no Saturday deliveries either! =D

good HollyHox I think I will do that too. I always miss my mail on the weekends but Monday is fun cause there is usually extra!!
