Summary: One partner to receive 3 items from options listed

In your travels thru your favorite thrift store, garage sale, auction or flea market, be on the look out for 3 of the following items to send to your partner. Yes, we have another excuse to go thrifting, like we ever needed an excuse.

All items must be useable and in good condition. You must send 3 different items even if one item fits two options on the list. Remember always send things that you would personally want to receive and use.

This is also an opportunity to re-gift items you’ve received and did not use. No one should take offense at this statement, we are thrifty swappers-we waste not so we want not!

Scavenger OPTIONS

--something in your swap-partners favorite color

--an organizer/container of some sort, coin purse, wallet, stationary holder, napkin holder, recipe card holder, coupon holder….paper, cardboard, plastic items are welcome on this option….use your imagination and pick something you would be happy to receive

--something for their personal office, pen, markers, paper clips, stationary, etc….be sure there is lots of life left in the item so as not to send a dried up marker or empty pen

--craft item, lace, trim, buttons, glue sticks, stickers, fabric, beads, thread, post card, etc, … check their profile to see what they are into

--a decorative magnet, be sure to send one nice enough they’ll want to display it

--a handy tool, scissors, tweezers, thimble, kitchen tool, magnifying glass, …..check their profile, or just surprise them with a tool you find very useful

--something they have on their wish list

I’m sure there will be no need for an angel on this swap because we are all reliable swappers! Look out thrift stores, here we come!

I know postage is an issue for most of us, but since we are thrifty, creative, and smart, we should be able to find 3 items from this list that will not cost an-arm-and-a-leg to send to our partners and still be able to make them happy!

Remember that re-gifting is allowed!

Next month we will only have one item to send.

looking for feed back......is this package looking "too heavy" so you're thinking postage will be too much for international?....feed back is greatly appreciated!...and this swap can be added to or changed.....we want to have fun and swap some stuff, but if this looks too expensive postage-wise, please let me know and I'll add some less heavy items to the options...

Suggestions are more than welcome!

Love this one buddy!!! Got in watch for now, but I will probably be joining this one closer to time:))

I personally don't think the postage will be that high. I don't EVER send a box international because postage is entirely too expensive! As long as everything I send can be stuffed in a large envelope I'm happy and it doesn't cost that much. The things you have listed don't seem like they would weigh that much. The only thing I'm a little concerned about is the organizer. When it comes to sending something like a plastic box/organizer, that could get rather costly, but if we stick with a wallet, coin purse, coupon organizer, that type of thing then it should be fairly lightweight.

Oh thank you buddie so much for the feed back....I was getting a little concerned.....so many folks watching, no one joining......

I actually found this really neat plastic recipe/coupon holder that is so light weight and nice..perfect for taking on a trip or to carry in your purse...weighs almost nothing....it reminds me of the plastic pencil holders with a snap that kids use in school....but it comes with dividers and even has an insert to use as a legend or summary page of what is inside the box...even has tiny labels for the dividers.....shoot...might deside to keep the thing for myself it's so cute....back says "Better office products"

I hate to do this, but I am having to drop out of this swap. Due to my husband's truck being broke down and going to cost $500 to get it fixed, finances have become pretty tight right now. I might join in at a later date if you decide to host another one like this:) For now I guess it's mainly flat swaps for me! lol.

int'l is ok -- it just makes me more creative in 'thinking outside the box' & more 'think inside the envelope' -- I look for smaller, lightweight Useful items & include a nice note explaining my choices due to shipping cost so that my partner doesnt feel short changed. I make an extra effort to find profile specific items if at all possible. Quality over quantity :)
