This is not just any candy swap, this is a unique candy swap! That means we aren't swapping common things that we can just pick up in the candy aisle at the grocery store. Let's try some new flavors that we have never encountered! If you are sending to someone in a different country, send them something that they probably haven't tried before. Maybe you have a local favorite candy that is common where you live but is probably nothing that your partner has tried. Many things that we would send to another country would be new to the recipient but we should try to send stuff other than a typical chocolate bar. Or as an example I have encountered: I once got a gummy that was shaped like corn and I thought it was lemon flavored. It actually tasted like corn and that was completely unexpected, though I probably should have guessed because obviously it was shaped like corn! Or maybe you find candy with an ingredient that isn't typical of candy you would find in an everyday grocery check out line. Ethnic food aisles are also a good place to look for unusual candy. You will have one partner and you will send a package full of unique candy valued between $10-$15 before shipping. Because of the nature of the swap there's a chance that you might receive candy that you don't like. It wouldn't be very fair if you rated somebody poorly because you got something that you didn't like the taste of. The idea behind this swap is to try new things and even if you find that you didn't like it wasn't that EXCITING? Of course if you have allergies or dietary restrictions it would be important to let your swap partner know! And here are the official rules: -I reserve the right to ban anybody who seems shifty and flakey. -Must have a 4.8 or higher rating. However, I will listen to reasons for a lower rating on a case by case basis. -Newbies welcome with a filled out profile, not just a couple sparse lines. Have fun!!! |
