Are you looking forward to spring? I am and hope you will join me in a SPRING scavenger hunt. It is sender's choice, so you can get started right away. As always, the rule is one (1) postage stamp (44 cents, or the new rate if it increases before the deadline).

S - Stamps (un-used postage) and try to find a spring theme if possible.

P - polka-dot papers (at least 3x4 inches)

R - rose (something with a rose or roses on it)

I - ink or inchies (sender's choice) (ink would be something with ink on it: ink stamped spring picture; letter written with ink or ink zentangle art)

N - 9 stickers or die cuts (spring themes - flowers, bunnies, butterflies, birds, etc)

G - girl with umbrella (thinking April showers type picture)

I will angel if you let me know. Post questions and suggestions in comments. Most of all let's have fun!

Sorry can't do this swap-I don't stamp :( Infact I really don't like stamping at all :( Maybe next time

bb2 02/15/2011 #

@DixieDiane I'd love to have you join. I didn't think about folks not having rubber stamps. It was too specific, so I just edited the "I" in Spring and hope this helps you and others. : )

What is zentangle art? Never heard of that one?

Jjean 02/15/2011 #

This is one of the things I love about swap-bot--learning new forms of art and crafts from others. And, I love the community willing to help others. Thank you for the website, @Jjean

Here's the clicky link for the website. ;)

bb2 02/17/2011 #

Thank you @lorepuckett - Would you share with us how to make the "clicky link"?

mizvicky 02/18/2011 #

well I will help you there,if that is ok.. Took me a while to figure it out..so..

You would do this exact thing(below) just no spaces..

[ clicky link ] ( http://www.zentangle.com/gallery.php )

Would join this swap, too, but think the girl with umbrella would be hard for me to find here in this rinky dinky small going nowhere town..lol boo.. sounds like a fun swap!!!
bb2 02/19/2011 #

Thank you @mizvicky I'll give it a try. Check this out! link

The girl w/umbrella can be hand drawn, something printed off the web, hand made postcard or ATC. Maybe something cut from retired child's book or a magazine. You might even find an old add for Morton salt. That is the fun of a scavenger hunt!

bb2 02/19/2011 #

Wow! It worked. You are a great teacher! Thanks!

mizvicky 02/19/2011 #

Oh cool.. It worked for you.. It is really simple, huh?? Like I said, I had a hard time doing it.. And posting graphics?? OMgosh.. you do the same thing with graphics,aS LONG AS IT ENDS WITH JPEG.... you just add a ! before the [.. ..

I am so in this swap!!! lol..Thanks...

bb2 02/19/2011 #

Welcome aboard @mizvicky

question - but, the .jpg would need to be uploaded to some website, first?

lorepuckett 02/27/2011 #

Hi there and sorry for not checking in sooner. :(
Thanks @mizvicky for posting how to do the clicky link. ;)
And yes @bb2 the jpg would have to come from an Internet source or your flickr photo type account. I like your Treasury thanks for sharing the link.
Oh, I just found an old Morton salt label I was saving, maybe I can scan it in n print that for my partner! :)

lorepuckett 02/27/2011 #

I just remembered this also that was posted in one of the other groups I'm in:
"To post a photograph, just do the following without the spaces: ![](URL link) Please note that for Flickr photos, you must select "All Sizes." Click on "Small" then right click to open the jpeg up in a new tab. That is the URL you want to use."

I tend to not put anything within the brackets but I think you can type your picture name in there. Hope that helps. :)

lorepuckett 02/27/2011 #

Oops, something went missing in the previous comment, sorry, I haven't had my coffee yet. ;)

To post a photograph, just do the following without the spaces (even in naming the link): ! [ name ] (URL link)

bb2 02/27/2011 #

Thank you @lorepuckett for all the information. I haven't signed up for Flickr yet but I've been thinking about it. Welcome aboard on the swap!
