Description:

No that is a bit of a mouthful, but this swap will require each particpant to quilt a paper pieced fabric. This should appeal to people who want to try paper piecing as this is a small project. It should also appeal to expericenced quilters, paper piecers out there. Each partner will make one coin purse using this technique. The shape and size of your paper pieces are up to you. So is the shape of your purse. My paper pieces will be hexagons. I will probably make a rectangular purse. What you do for your partner is up to you. Enjoy the processes and make something you would like to receive.

Edited to add Open to newbies however, please pm me first so I can check out your profile. Please do not sign up before pming otherwise you will be dropped. No recent 1's or 3's, no flakers, 4.9 ratings and above. Sorry. Should have added this at the very start.

This sounds interesting. Will you please post some links to what you are describing? Thank you.

Thanks for that. I am working on mine (purse) now and as soon as I have links and images I will share them. :) Happy crafting.

Hi @hearthandhandmade question, is this swap specific to English paper piecing or is any paper/foundation piecing ok? I dont know much about either but I did a google search for paper piecing in general and those are two very different types. Thanks! ;)

Paper piecing means using a paper template to create a shape that can be put together to create an over all patchwork pattern. There are lots of variations. Use which ever suits you. The most important thing to do with this swap is experiment and have fun.

HTH :)
