Description:

One of the greatest things about the pagan paths is that they encourage you to think for yourselves and explore your own ideas.

Email your partners a collection of 30 prompts to get their brain-juices flowing, by thinking and writing about their beliefs.

Try and get a good mix of fun and serious/challenging. Ideas could be: *what is your favourite festival? *what are your feelings on eating meat? *a quote to respond to *a day's activity to try and then to write up.

...and so on.

Send your finished prompts to your three partners by email.

IMPORTANT: Just because this is an e-swap, it's no excuse for laziness. Treat it with the same enthusiasm and care as you would a snail-mail swap. Include digital art, if you like; format it nicely if you can.

File formats: be aware of what files your partner might/might not be able to open (for example, some people can't open .docx), and remember to communicate with them about it :)

General info: ...you guys know the drill. Anyone who looks very flakealicious will be banned. Newbies are most welcome!

Didn't @lunarwillow just do this swap in a group?? Her's was through mail but still.

Seriously rude to rip off someone's swap idea without asking or mentioning them in the description

Metanoia 03/25/2011 #

wow... I just find the last comment rude. Who cares if it has been done. Maybe the host doesn't know that. Maybe s/he wants to give people who aren't a member of the little swap bot witches group a chance to do the swap too. Maybe s/he thought 50 or 101 were too many, plus the other swap ends today. There are enough differences and enough space to have two of these kinds of swap. Sheesh...

Mooncrab is right and she was not being rude! It is very bad etiquette to use someone else's swap idea without asking or crediting them. I have no objection to the swap at all but if the host got the idea from mine then she should ask first and then mention it in the swap description, that's all. I have sent a pm to the host anyway.

So what is going on? Someone did this swap in a group and then you didn't ask if you could do a non group one? I agree. Whenever I want to copy someone's swap or even just use it as an idea I always ask first. BUT I will say however if the previous swap was in a group you couldn't have known about it. If that is the case then there should be no problem.

...too many people jumping to conclusions here, and hostility is totally uncalled for.

Lunarwillow and mooncrab - I am not a member of your group, as well you can both work out from checking profiles. I've never come across it before. Especially when it's something as generic as "pagan journal prompts", on a site filled with pagans and journal-makers. And if it is so important, surely a quiet PM first makes better sense than publically insulting my good faith and causing conflict. I'm just really...confused to find this kind of a quarrel starting up, swapbot is always such a sweet place and it seems a bit unecessary :/

Metanoia - thank you for the defence. I regret this matter ever got bigger than me and the wronged party, but I appreciate it anyway.

Moony - who cares what is going on? It's not about establishing whether or not there is a problem. When it's this sort of quibble, it's just my word against the word of others - impossible and pointless to resolve. If members think that I've rudely stolen someone else's idea, it's their choice not to join. If members think I've acted in good faith and by accident, or simply don't care one way or the other, it's their choice to join.

Even so you can search and find the swap. If you aren't a part of the group so that isn't always true that you can't see a swap just cause its a group. Anyways ~ I still think you should have been nice and credited @lunarwillow because she did come up with the swap first. I don't think either comment was rude or uncalled for at all.
