I'm a 45 year old gal from a very small village in the heart of the English Cotswolds. Part-time, I work as a genealogical researcher, a design teacher (with children aged 4-11yrs) and an Administrator for our village Girl Guiding Unit! I'm raising a teenage daughter, and an 12yr old son with High-Functioning Autism, and renovating and upgrading our recently purchased 1930's cottage, so I sometimes feel like a juggler with a lot of balls in the air.

I have a bit of an obsession with stationery and coloured pens and I'm starting to think that I may need to find help in the form of a local support group :)

I have 3 'older' cats, the most recent addition in Aug 2013 is a gorgeous black 11yr old male, who'd come from Ireland to give him a better chance of being re-homed.

I'd love a pet llama/alpaca, I have a weakness for junk food and I made a Bucket List when I turned 40!

I love to write letters and, as I tend to chat a lot and love to be able to ask (and answer) a range of questions and discuss varied topics which create interesting conversations, my letters are usually quite lengthy.

I'm researching my own biological family tree, I'm a voracious reader (everything from classic literature to modern fiction...one of my favourites is Dante's "The Divine Comedy"), I love to browse the thrift and charity stores in the village, I do Yoga and Tai Chi, and we spend a lot of time outdoors, being lucky enough to live surrounded not only by hills, fields and trees, but in a village with stunning architecture and a castle!!!

I'm a keen amateur photographer, I collect postcards, love scrap-booking and keeping journals, chocolate is a staple part of my diet, and I love musical theatre. I'm fascinated by British history, I have to have music playing if I'm cooking or cleaning, I wish I could travel more.....although I get to go to some incredible places through the power of the written word, so I shouldn't complain too much!

USED STAMPS!!!!!

I used to collect all my stamps for a local charity but they've unfortunately stopped taking them. If anyone uses stamps for crafts, feel free to drop me a note and I'm happy to send some along. It seems a shame to simply throw them away!
