Personal Shrines

Craft a shrine based on your partner's profile. Any theme that you think they would like. To paticipate you must have a well filled out profile. Links on your profile to stuff you've made, Etsy faves, on-line stores, or even just lots of info on your profile page...these can all help your partner get to know who you are and what you like.

For this swap, you will use a small wooden jewellery box- you can buy them at almost any dollar store. These boxes are usually unfinished. I'm not going to give any specific size requirements, because the variety of boxes to choose from can varry by store. They are light weight, and have a lid. The lid doesn't have to be attached. You can make these hang on a wall, or sit on a table. It will be up to you to decide how this will look. This does not have to be a master piece, but it does need to have some thought and effort put in to it. This is designed to be a fun, creative, artistic way to get to know our fellow Canadians.

There are no set guidelines when it comes to crafting a personal shrine.

I have found this to be a very cool site with ideas and instructions: Go Make Something.com

And this one has some more examples: Craftster.org
