I had no idea you could mail a CD!!

This got me curious so I looked it up on the USPS website. A CD is less than 5 inches which is the minimum length to mail. If you try anyway there is also the .17 extra for rigid items. I would close the hole in the center because it might get caught on something. I was just interested in this, I've never tried it before but might try sending back my AOL free CD's.

Just out of curiosity, did you make the piece that is pictured above?

This is an amazing idea, thank you for hosting.

I sent an altered CD "naked" to Canada a month or so ago (I'm in the UK). The post office lady was reluctant to accept it at first, but it got there okay! Love this idea. As far as a know there are no minimum size restrictions on stuff being sent from the UK, no surcharges for "rigid" items (why? - surely floppy mail would be more difficult to handle?!). Woohoo - bring on the weird mail!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for joining my swap. I have sent cd's through the mail many times and for me (in Canada) it doesn't cost me extra postage and I haven't had 1 go missing yet (fingers crossed).

Camkin - I did make the cd pictured above.

Hi Pootle, Fromthepines and Countryscrap keep and eye out in 7 to 10 days as yours are winging their way to you from New Zealand. Hugs :-)

Well I sent mine this morning - you would think I'd stapled live cats to the CDs from the fuss the woman in the post office made! They left me intact with all the right stamps stuck on... fingers crossed they'll actually arrive :)
