My Husband and I are owner operator Farm and Ranch.. we grow wheat and barley Hay
We raise black Angus cows.. and sheep.. which are my responsibility, as they lamb.
We remodeled the house my husbands great grandfather built... I JUST LOVE IT.... I have allot of antiques in the house. I help with all the "CHOORS" round here... especially with the cows.. I am the baby saver... I LOVE to get a cold calf in the shower and bring him back to life.... calves love to live.. Sheep on the other hand love to die... it has been quite a challenge to LEARN how to get them to WANT to live.. but I have some special ways I have figured out to save them... they are so cute and I take each and everyone who needs HELP very serious and WILL them to live... and most do .. I always have calves and bum lambs to feed... they are so cute... follow me around looking for their milk...
I also work in town which is 40 miles away 2 days a week.. I have been a Dental Assistant for 30+ years.. I met my husband in the office... he went to collage with the Boss and they are Frat.. brothers... I call it the Brotherhood... always there for each other. I LOVE my life very much... it is very rewarding and still work in the Dental profession, to maintain a little professionalism in my life.. and it is good for me to get away from the Ranch. I live next door to my in-laws.. which is a HUDGE BLESSING... my kids Love having their grandparents right there.. just a wonderful way to raise kids.. everyone is involved in the work..

I don't listen to music very much.. I LOVE the 70's and 80's stuff... my favorite singer is Jimmy Buffett and Charlie Pride... a world apart in their style wouldn't you say...

I don't READ BOOKS much ... I do however study the Bible by that I mean research and as I say translate back to the old Hebrew and Greek... says so much more than the English version

I LOVE the old movies... 30's to the 50's... Those folks really HAD to ACT.. they didn't do the retakes and special affects of the new movies.. AND.. they had talent... Dancing singing etc.. I LOVE them..

TV... well.. I watch a guy in the morning's translate the bible... I LOVE you are what you eat... trying to stick to the things I learn there... CSI... movies.. Turner Classic Movies.. is my favorite... Dog Whisper... History Channel... That's about all.. oh.. IFC... the independent Films..

I am a quilter.. and Love to sew clothes.. I have just gotten into ATCs. and am teaching myself to Rosemal... My 15 year old daughter makes ATCs with me and loves it too.. it's a fun thing to do with her.. OH YES I DO COOK... ALOT OF FOOD.. these ol farm boys LOVE TO EAT... GOOD FOOD AND LOTS OF IT.. I also love to carve wood.. small things.

I LOVE the earth tones... and DEEP rich colors... Blue, mauve, yellow, green ,just about every color but orange... not big at all on ORANGE or red unless it's RUSTY RED... do not like orange...

I have a 25 year old daughter who is a phlebotomist.. blood sucker as I say... 17 year old boy.. plays 6 man football... and Basket Ball.. He will graduate in 2009... and go to collage.. THEN come back to the farm here... 15 year old daughter.. she's a Sophmore this year... she plays VolleyBall and Basket Ball.. Cheer leads...

#2 antiques... I do allot of refinishing of old stuff.. that way I can buy them cheep and make them nice ... the way I want them #3 Making things... quilts.. love that and anything that may strike my interest ... These swaps have me wanting to do allot of new things . #4 Love to take my kids and go Indian artifact hunting.. we have a buffalo jump on our place and find allot of scrapers and arrowheads... it's fun... also... LOVE to go OREO Bird nest hunting... gotta do that while there's no leaves on the tree... My son .. shoots the branch and gets it to fall off... they are so cool... they use allot of the Mane and Tail hairs from the horses... also the twine from the hay bails and wool from the sheep.. it is fun to collect what nature has to offer...

I LOVE antiques... the old world fascinates me as to the things they used to DO what needed to do.. Old wire ware that was used in the kitchen.. have a few of those and are hard to find... I am into smaller things now as I have filled my house with antique furniture and have not much room anymore.. this has been a HARD DISCPLINE NOT to buy the things I see that would JUST FIT... but WHERE??? DOGS... the little wood ones... the small porcelain ones that are blue or brown and white... the little bone carved one's from Japan... Very hard to find.. They are an exact replica of the dog carved.. and painted.. awesome art there. OH ONE weird collection is sea shell people... and animals.. the old one's not the NEW one's... they are so UGLY usually... anything OLD that is ugly or unusual... like WHAT WAS THAT USED FOR???? OHHHHHH I do have one weird collection going.... the cool tags off of Jeans... I call it the TAG WAR... They are made of everything .... wood.. leather... cardboard... have all kinds of things on them... look sometime.. you'll see what I am talking about.. especially GUYS Jeans..

 OLD UGLY STUFFED TOYS...  allot of them are homemade... how awesome to find one... THEY always say TAKE ME HOME WITH YOU!!!!!!!!...

old Celluloid charms... ATC's I really LOVE the different ATC'S people make. OH I could go on and on but I will NOT... I just LOVE little old things..
