Blackwork Embroidery. Cross-stitch. Knitting, crocheting. I'm thinking about learning to sew! I got a sewing machine. It is having problems. I'm having someone look at it - probably early next month. Machine sewing is currently on hold for now ....
I am a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, which is where I learned about Blackwork Embroidery. Which is a whole lot simpler than people realise. I also brew Mead (Honey wine) and make Cordials. I am also a role-playing gamer (tabletop, not video.)
I was born and raised in London, England, and emigrated to the US in 1970, where I now make my home.
I speak some Italian and read French. International Swappers - please feel free to include a greeting in your native language, with translation - I am always eager to learn!
My favorite colors are Green and Gold. I am deathly allergic to Oranges and Tea, and mildly allergic to some other foods. (Please ask.) I don't like Mint, but I love Ginger. My favorite scent is Lavender. I love chocolate in all shapes and forms, but prefer Dark.
