I Was on Swap-Bot A LONG time ago, and just rediscovered it. I've tried to track it down before and just couldn't. I'm glad to be back! I'm 38 now (I said it was LONG ago) and will be slowly updating my profile. While my profile is old, I'm still as dedicated to proper quality swaps as I was before, and my taste probably hasn't changed that much. If anything if my profile states a pet, age, etc then that information is old.

Everything from here down is OLD, but possibly still good:

I'm 25, I stay at home with my son who is in the throws of the terrible twos. I've been doing crafts my entire life. Nothing I love more then turning on the light in my craftroom after a long day. Well except maybe my iPod.

what I pledged

Just about everything! I love folk, oldies, rock, alternative, indie, skat, opera, really everything except country and rap. My iPod has everything from Etta James to Bob Dylan to Habanera to Artic Monkeys!

I love just about any book except cheap romance. I like historical anything, fantasy (wizards not scifi) drama mystery really just about anything. I love Harry Potter (I'm a huffle puff!) and even non fiction. I love research books about parenting, science, homeskills (living frugally, new cooking strategys etc) etc.

Sewing!!! Sometimes I hug my machine late at night. I'd also hug my knitting needles, but I'd probably poke my eye out.

I love knitting, crochet and any fiber craft. I know how to do almost every craft under the sun, unfortunately there just isn't enough time for everything!

If you name a craft I probably know how to do it, and most likely have supplies for it! Except glass, I know a lot about fused glass, and worked in a glass studio, but don't have supplies. I have crafting A.D.D. If you want a particular something as a swap item, just ask and I'll try to make it! I'm one of the few that can knit AND crochet, both at advanced level. I told Hubby I was going to focus, so I am going to TRY to focus on the Three S's: Sewing Swaps- making ANY craft needed for swapping Seasons- making items to decorate for seasons and holidays.

My style is like a funky whimsical. Like if Mary Engelbreit went indie, LOL. I love bright colors. I respect the beauty of a well done shabby chic but it is way to girly for me. Though things like wire brush ornaments are awesome in the right colors. I absolutely HATE purple, please avoid it like the plague. I don't like pink, but some is okay. My favorite colors are blue, green, and yellow. But I can't wear yellow. I really love all colors, any color goes. Except pink and purple like I said.

I love mis-matched things! Things that kinda go, and kinda don't. LOL Like something that has several different colors and patterns, but they all summery, or all bright. I love to think outside the box and make things with yellow skies, and blue trees. So if you are making me something don't feel like it was to match, and be all the same fabric line, or anything. I love to think like the designer Anna Maria Horner, "Who says it doesn't match?"

I'm highly allergic to smoke and strong scents. Most scented candles are okay but not super strong ones like apple cinnamon. Sachet envelopes are a no go! If you send any kind of satchet, natural only please like lavendar. I kawaii and zakka. Maybe zakka a little more.

I love dolls. I always love to receive cool new dolls and items for the ones I have. I have a 16" Sasha girl, 4 Genes, a 10" Gotz (who can wear the same clothes as 10" Anne Estelle) AND one cat doll. The cat is a unique one, but can wear Blythe or Pullip clothes! I'm not sure about if she can wear their hats, though she does have a big head. Any questions about them just ask!

I also like fairies, and nature items. I love trees, leaves, and branches.

I collect Mr Potato Head.

I like jewelry, actually I LOVE it, but I do have a toddler so i try to keep it simple. Dangle earrings are okay as long as they aren't gigantic! I prefer a simple charm on an ear wire. I like studs too. I have a charm bracelet if anyone wants to ever send me a charm for it. Apparently hubby forgot he gave it to me because he never buys me more charms lol. If you were to give me just a pendant I can put it on a cord or chain myself, or even bead it into a necklace.

I love office supplies and stationery. especially if they are unique in some way. Like smencils, I'm addicted to these things. Also things like fuzzy pencils, or novelty erasers. I love colored ink pens, not just gel pens but all colored pens. I love when a normal product is jazzed up, like funky post-its or patterned file folders.

I love little boxes and jars and things.

I love housey things. Things like recipes, aprons, cloth napkins, hot pads, recipes cards, etc etc. I'm kinda like a funky vintage housewife in that way. I buy vintage bedsheets any time they are at the thrift store, even if they don't fit a single bed in the house! I collect cookbooks. I am not very good at cleaning, but love to pretend I'm like a classic housewife. lol I bake several times a week. I love to have aprons, but never wear them, but I should start.

Generally I'm just super easy going and love just about anything!

If it isn't clear already, I truly love just about everything. I'm one of those weird people that drinks coffee AND tea AND hot cocoa, unlike most who have a favorite. My likes and dislikes is as follows:

Likes- Pretty much everything, especially if it is unique, handmade, or vintage. My Mom complains that I am TO easy for shop for, because it makes it hard to be equal with everyone else. You can truly go into ANY store and find something I would absolutely love! Still really want more detail? I Like:

Dislikes- the color purple (I truly despise it) and poorly made crafts. Honestly, that's about it! I'm not to fond of realllly classic country stuff, but do like well done prim.

I don't have a favorite TV section because I don't really watch TV, technically right now I couldn't if I wanted to. We watched so little anyway that we got rid of our sattelite and get just one channel. I DO however love Dr Who, and The Gilmore Girls, and House.

My favorite movies include (but aren't limited to) How to Make an American Quilt, Benny & Joon, Across the Universe, Sense & Sensability, Little Women (the one that has Christian Bale and Wynona Ryder) Empire Records, How to Deal, Driving Lessons, Harry Potter (all of them,) and I'm probably forgetting a ton.
