Hi there! I definitely love the idea of writing letters and cards to family and friends but apart from my mum, who lives 6 hrs from me, there is no one else that would write back or even appreciate a letter. I love stationery, one thing I can actually tolerate by going out to the shops (I dislike shops/shopping) I love asian food and trying to make it. I love cooking shows both cooking and baking but I prefer eating savoury food. I've recently taken up crocheting (I'm on my 2nd baby blanket) I would love to travel more and to live a bit more (instead of living through other ppls You Tube vids or Instagram post) I've recently started going to bible studies β€ and it's made a huge impact on my life. I am the absolute best at making toffee apples, hands down the absolute best. I do enjoy working out/going to the gym but the last year and a half I've fallen off the wagon. I like a bit of everything, my music taste is random. I like dramas, action, foreign and comedy movies - not big on romantic but I do like the odd one or two (Princess Bride). I care about the environment and I love I'm a tea drinker so I hope that helps somewhat
I like a whole of groups/individuals/genres from grunge and heavy metal (Pearl Jam and Metallica) to old school (Earth Wind and Fire, The Beatles) and everything in between (David Bowie, Alicia Keys, Bob Marley, Prince). I don't listen to music of this generation, maybe I'm just showing my age but I don't find it has much substance or the lyrics are just bad taste and tacky. I tend to make play lists of songs I like and play those everywhere I go, in the car, on my phone.
The last book I read that I really enjoyed was The Help. And I'm currently reading the bible for my bible studies
My absolute favourite movie is............ Conan The Barbarian, such a random as movie to like considering I'm a female but yes, that is my absolute favourite (I even bought the soundtrack). I enjoy mostly action, drama (The Colour Purple) and comedies (Elf). I'm not big on romance but there is the odd few such as the Princess Bride. I'm a fan of Harry Potter and is my go to movie when I'm bored. However the last good movie I saw was The Green Book, I really enjoyed this. When it's a drama with humor then it's a winner in my book.
At the moment I'm watching British/UK television like Celebrity Bake Off, 8 out of 10 Cats. This is either from You Tube or Netflix. If I really enjoy a series I would buy the DVD set so I can watch it all the time, such as Strike Back, True Blood, Nurse Jackie, Vikings. I've also started watching Turkish programs, I dont know why I like Turkish ones in particular as I do watch quite a bit of foreign stuff, I know ppl that would prefer not to read while they are watching a movie but I'm okay with subtitles.
I've always loved crafts but I know my limits. I've taken up crocheting and I'm on to my 2nd project which is a baby blanket and I've got a hundred other crochet projects I want to do. I like knitting, I did a bit of this in my teens but this was short lived. My grandmother use to embroid and at the end of her life I picked up her embroidering and gave it a go, suffice to say I'm still trying to finish off her project. I really want to try quilting but I find that craft to be really ambitious, hopefully once I've mastered crocheting and my more recently I want to make my own bags/totes/clutches. As I'm polynesian, I love anything to do with weaving and I really want to make bags/clutches combing polynesian patterned fabric and weaving. I don't know if I'm explaining this well but if I could post a photo on my prifile then I would. And I love stationery.
