About Me

Hello! My name is Joanne. I have always enjoyed writing letters and cards for my friends. I love to travel. I have not traveled to many places but my goal is to travel to a new country every year (so far I have only traveled to China and Korea.. Australia is my next travel destination.) I loved learning about new cultures and trying new foods.

I love drinking different types of teas and coffee while reading a book.

I keep a paper journal. This is a way that I de-stress at the end of the day. I also keep a grateful journal to celebrate all things big and small in my life/day. UPDATE: I actually stop writing in my journal recently.

I received a "1" rating from DMarcella. She never reached out to me before giving me the rating. She also received a "1" rating for the same swap. Not sure if it is related but I have never flaked on a swap before.

Favorite Books

I love reading books! Some current books that I just finished was Turtles All The Way Down, Me Before You, The Girl on the Train, Gone Girl, The Woman In Cabin 10, The Silent Patient, Everything I Never Told You, and All We Ever Wanted.

Favorite Movies

I am an avid AMC A-Lister. My friends and I are watching movies every week. I love watching anything Marvel, romantic comedies, horror/thrillers, heart-warming movies, etc. Some of the most recent movies I enjoyed watching was Parasite, ENDGAME, Breakthrough, Shazam!, Us, How To Train Your Dragon, Inception, Knives Out.

I love tea! I always try to drink a cup of tea everyday. Some of my favorites are green teas, white teas, and black teas. I do not like fruity teas and chai teas.

I am really into postcards, have been for a long time. I like most types of postcards but please no free / ad PCs or religious ones unless the swap dictates otherwise. I prefer them to be sent naked just because I enjoy seeing everyone's writing on them and what happens to them when they travel my way.

Things I Want to Learn

Some things I wanted to learn this year are:

Driving (My family makes fun of me because I am the only one who does not know how to drive in my family) Calligraphy Crocheting

I mark it sent as soon as I drop it in the box but sometimes it won't be postmarked until the next day. If you don't receive my swap PLEASE message me. I take pride in sending everything out on time and I have no problems remaking/resending if something has gotten lost in the mail. I will ALWAYS message you if something has come up and it has to be sent out late.

1/20/20: I will be away from 1/20 to 1/25 for a business trip. When I return, I will rate all the swaps I had received.

06/23/19: I have finished my first week at my new job! I have finally caught up with rating all the swaps I have received. At this point, there should not be a delay in me rating anything I get in the mail.

06/11/19: I am currently on vacation and I will start a new job on Monday. Sorry for the delay in rating but I will get to it as soon as possible.

Comment: Hello,Joanne. I was happy with white tea. :) And I was surprised because it contained Japanese Ito En tea ! The lifestyle has changed in Tokyo. For example, the last train may be earlier next year. Also, most Japanese restaurants such as sushi restaurants and pork cutlet restaurants offer green tea for free! Any number of cups! If you are traveling, please be careful and enjoy yourself. -Mina

Well I plan on getting another puppy but not right now since I got an investigation going and I'm more at the lab at college than at home, but maybe in Christmas I'll have a new baby. As for your letter i loved it. And the lace, my God, its beautiful, I'll send it to my nana so she can turn it into a headband.

Comment: Hi Joanne, Dark places in interesting. I am currently reading the two lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver. I think I saw it while scrolling though Pinterest. Before that I read The Duke and I by Julia Quinn because my friend recommended it. It was cute but I felt like the ending was rushed. I have been feeling good so I've been reading a lot. Thanks for the beautiful stickers and note card. I wish you well. -Ana
Comment: Thank you so much for the profile hello! My goal was a book a month but I sure haven't come close to that. Then again we still 3 months left maybe I'll catch up! Have a wonderful day!

Quick and Easy Profile Hello #2

I tried to read 1984 years ago, but I got a little more than halfway I think and stopped because I couldn't deal with the ending. : ) Maybe one day I'll give it another shot. Driving is the most fun and if you haven't learned yet, keep it on your bucket list. I'd love to do one of those actual like defensive driving classes and learn how to turn REAL fast. Have a great weekend!

It's so Expensive up North. I spent the first 6 months like a kid in a candy store, yelling at walmart (supercenter) how cheap food was. LOL!! UNTIL our budget got tighter and tighter HAHAHA
