Thank you to everyone for their patience. I'm tentatively getting back into the swing of swapping again but I'm selective about what I join.
Did you drink some water? Take a break and be kind to yourself.
Hello. I'm Dee.
Canadian wordsmith, female. Fluent in English. Art history minor. Huge fan of science and psychology. Bookworm open to book suggestions. Tea fiend.
Allergic to cats and dogs so please be mindful of the fur when you mail me something. Thank you in advance.
I had a personal project to handwrite 5,000 letters, no deadline. And I wrote the last letter of that project in Dec 2019. Took me 10.5 years to complete it.
Still writing snail mail but not tracking the recipients in my agenda anymore.
I tried to write a Thank You card each day this February for #InCoWriMo. It wasn't so bad. I only missed three days in total and made it up each time the next day by sending two thanks instead of one. I feel thankful for many different people.
Curious about people and places abroad. When I travel, I enjoy talking to locals, visiting museums, and people-watching in coffee shops. I read the community newspaper to see what matters to those who live there.
In our world today, a lot is happening and draining both your mental and emotional reserves. Sometimes, you forget your own achievements and the good that is happening around you.
If you aren't sure what to write to me but want to write something, then the question I ask you is this:
What three things went well today?
Focus on what matters to you.
Swap for the love of swapping, not ratings, hearts, or comments. If you wish to send extras, that's at your discretion.

Thank you for the lovely postcard! I'm happy to know that the mini envelopes are getting some use. I love making them! My family is starting to decorate for Christmas, so we're all getting into the festive spirit. It's my favorite time of year <3
Hi Dee! Thankyou for your card following the 'Learn About Your Library' swap. It arrived Friday, after a loooonnng journey! Libraries here have re-opened, although there are still some covid measures in place, including reduced hours. I am just so pleased to be able to borrow! I am currently working my way through Kate Ellis' books - an English author who writes crime - and have just finished Australian author Monica McInerney's new one, called 'The Godmothers'. It's a fun, light read and one I highly recommend! Thanks again for brightening my day with your card, and all the best! Tracy (MeggyMoo)
Hello Dee and thank you sooo much for your beautiful postcard! :) The best that happened in this week... well, let me think about it. Oh, I know! I tried a new recipice of pumkin pie and it actually worked and was delicous! Monday I divided the cake with two friends and they were stunned that you can eat pumpkin in a pie! - It's really crazy in Germany, were pumkins are only used for "real meals" like soups or vegetables and meat. Have a wonderful time and enjoy the autumn! ^.^
Hello Dee! Thank you so much for your postcard! You made me smile :)
Thanks for welcoming me!! :)
I got your sweet thank you note today. I love your adorable washi tapes and stickers you put on it. Thanks for the note and the tea too! ❤️
Hello! Thank you for the welcome, looking forward to the postcard swap!
I got your thank you card today! It is beautiful, and I enjoyed reading a little bit about you :) You brought me a smile after a difficult day yesterday. Thank you!
Hi @dmwcheng this is random but I just came across your profile and find your story fascinating. Sometimes I struggle with follow through in my goals and I'm inspired by yours, especially that you had no deadline on your 5,000 letters. Anyway... completely random. Have a lovely day!
I received a thank you card from you today with a packet of Emergen-C in it! What a lovely surprise! Thank you and I hope you are and stay healthy! <3
