I'm an aspiring artist from Finland, who's been drawing, writing and doing other sort of art related things for over 5 years now.
I do tend to have a short attention spawn, but I do my very best to keep to my words.
I've mostly worked with simple and plain pencils. For first few years of my life as and artist, I did mostly pencil drawings and a few short stories.
I have also practiced computer arts for some and I have developed a colouring technique that sometimes gives quite satisfying results.
Lately I've been experimenting with all kinds of stuffs I've found around me, from gel pens to broken glass. I've also been sliding towards my furry passion artwise as well.
I like to do as much as I can by my own hands.
I just abdore comics. American, Eurpoian, Japanice, old, new, funny, serious, parody, psychedelic, plain, verbose... I got quite a collection covering as wide variety of sequential art as possible. And this does show in my works.
If you're only going to read one comic book in your life, I recommend Scott McCloud's "Understanding Comics".
It ain't all of me, but it's a part that bares mentioning. I am, what is often known as, a furry. That means that I have peculiar interest towards anthropomorphic(humanized/with human characteristics) animal characters. Big, small, fuzzy, short, fat, tall, stupid; it all tends to work for me.
It doesn't mean that every single thing I do involves a muzzle. Just don't be surprised if it does :-)

Simply put, be creative. These are ARTIST trading cards.
What ever the theme, don't just fulfill the requirements but try to think of different ways to make it work. Think of the swap instructions as a set of limitation in the grand scale of what you can do.
Don't worry, if it doesn't quite work out. If I can see that you at least tried, I shall not think badly of you :)
Honestly, don't bother with them. I don't really do my cards in a mix and match style, but rather draw or paint them by hand, if possible. As such, I really don't have use for any extras.
Well, I ain't realy good at talking about myself. Everything I am is too obvious to me.
Got a question? Ask and I shall elaborate the best I can. I'm a man of few words, but little of what I say is in vain.

Wow haha, you are quite blunt/to the point. Thanks for realizing I put a lot of time and effort into the ATC even though it wasn't quite your style. I wanted to do one with what you call a "furry" on your profile, but couldn't think of how to go about doing that or what design to use, etc. so I used other things in your profile. Was my card really unusually thick? I have no idea since that was my first; I just didn't want it to get bent and arrived damaged.
