I'm a Mum and Secondary school teacher (as well as other things of course!).
My daughter is 5 years old and keeps me very much on my toes. I live in Kent, in the South East of England.
I enjoy sewing, but find it difficult to make time for it.
My daughter on the other hand spends most of her spare time cutting, sticking, drawing, creating. She loves just making things!
I watch far too much TV! Other than the normal children's programme that I get to watch with my daughter (Peppa Pig, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Do, and my all time favourite - Roary the Racing Car), I enjoy watching CSI (especially New York), Without a Trace, NCIS, Criminal Minds (spot a theme here??). I loved ER and was very sad to end the end of that. I also enjoy Friends - even if they are repeats of repeats!
My all time favourite is Bon Jovi but I listen mostly to the radio either in the car or in my office at work, so I listen to and enjoy most stuff.
I love fabric and all things associated with sewing - buttons, thread, scraps. I love sewing patterns and quilting magazines or books.
I love all colours and don't really have a preference (although I do love red and aqua together!). My daughter though is a real girly girl and loves pink (bet you can't guess what colour the quilt I am making her is!)
For some odd reason, I also love selvedges. Whenever I start cutting a new piece of fabric, I carefully cut it off and add it to my little stash. I have no idea what I am going to do with them all yet, but for now, I am just happy collecting them!
I love postcards - such a great way to 'see' and teach my daughter about the world.
