2022 is coming to a close and it has been another year of short periods that were very happy and calm, and the rest was a chaotic storm that was unpredictable in it's long term affects. I had a baby, surgery, unemployed for over 6 months, cut off the tip of my finer, became homeless, found a job-then laid off, got a new job but the pay means I may as well be unemployed. My older kids started school for the first time, I became Vice President of their student council and began volunteer work for the Red Cross. Life happens. During this roller coaster of a year, I also experienced domestic violence and while becoming homeless with kids with no income, I lost access to phone/internet/mail, etc. For this reason, I was gone from Swapping for several months and was unable to follow up with several I had swaps pending for. All those swaps have been sent, those swappers contacted but that is the reason for the 1 star ratings. All have been fixed except 1.
Life is not 100% stable but my little family is moving on and getting some of a "normal" back, including penpals and volunteering. I rate when I receive mail. As we are currently nomadic (house on wheels) I may not rate for a couple weeks and you may notice some mail comes late as it's mailed from an RV park, state park, etc. and I have noticed their outgoing mail is not always sent as it's received. We have been having a lot of issues with mail being taken/picked up, but packages not being scanned in, or not delivered. I've been trying to keep track and message people directly as I notice things aren't delivered. If you do not get a swap, please let me know and I will send another.
I appreciate everyone's patience.
We are a family of 6, Mom and 3 kiddo's, with two furry Canine relatives. We adore pugs, (one of our silly high maintenance canines) Egypt, Archaeology, Anthropology, Nature related items, Harry Potter, Winnie the Pooh, Sherlock Holmes, Astrology is a big one! My Kiddo's love space, stars, the moon and our telescope.
We are a non traditional household, pagan/native spirituality, witch. We celebrate the wheel of the year, Yule, and many days people have never heard of (Feast day of Ma'at).
Purple, Orange, teal and pink are favorite colors. There is no bad color, we love them all for different reasons. Glitter is fine. Tea and coffee drinker. LOVE books. Have collected over 1000 audio books over the last 5 years and check out about 30 kids books from the library each month. I love planners and work with FiloFax and Passion Planner.
Big on science, mother earth, nature, animals, chemistry. I work in IT, but it's not necessarily a passion, just work. I am seeking a degree and actively attend college every other term. Geography and LiDar is what I am hoping to get into next (should hear in January about being accepted into the program) and look forward to the new challenges of college exams in this field.
Movies/shows: I have not owned a TV in over 6 years. I used to love shows like Dexter, The Wire, Downton Abbey, Buffy, The Walking Dead.
Now a days I really only watch documentaries, and research related shows. I cannot get enough of Podcasts! So audio books and podcasts are my main listens. My kids really like Bluey and Rugrats, Harry Potter and Pokemon.
Music: Metal! I listen to a lot of things like Heilung, Rammstein, Metallica, Children of Bodom, etc. We listen to a little of everything, except country.
Books: I read a little of everything, though my recent reads have all been educational, parenting, history, archaeology related. I enjoy classics like Jane Austen, Anne of Green Gables, Doctor Doolittle, Riddle master of Hed. I have been reading the Sword of Truth series for over 10 years and used to be a huge Anita Blake and Stephanie Plum fan.
We craft a lot. I have recently got my kiddo's into sewing and we are doing small projects. I may get into knitting if they will let me have my hands long enough. We do a lot of art, painting, paper crafts. They like to help with swaps and check the mail. It really brightens their day to get mail, which makes my day 100% better seeing their happy faces. We really enjoy this and appreciate everyone that we swap with. Happy Swapping all!

Thank you, Duamatef, for the colored pages! I like the look that those brush pens give. Itβs like an under-control, in the lines smooth but messy look. Very aesthetically pleasing!! In fact, Iβve already added your recommendation to my Amazon cart! Thank you, and congrats on the new digs!!
Hi duamutef - I see you have returned to the site and added an update to your profile. I messaged you months ago about the zazzle/store printed postcard swap I sent and the message has been read now. I understand you may not have been able to receive the card because of personal reasons, but I would still very much appreciate a rating for that swap when you can. I have pictures of the front/back of the postcard if you'd like to see it, just let me know. Hope you're doing well now! Thank you.
Thank you for the postcard! I hope you get reinstated <3
A few of my all-time favorite picture books! I hope you like some of them also!
