I'm half Italian (from my family), and half French. I was born and I grew up in Paris and it's also where I met my husband, 25 years ago. I have been a investment adviser in a bank during more than 12 years and I really enjoyed my job. But the first time we moved in a foreign country, I had to quit it and I found out that being a mother "at home" was funny too ! These last 15 years, we moved 9 times, in and out of France, but since end 2009 we set up camp in US, near to Indianapolis, with our 3 kids (15,14 & 6 y-old). And this time, we intend to stay there for a while. I like crafts and I could "play" with fabrics, threads, paper and even wood, all day long. But I don't have all that time available ! I volunteer a lot at school, and I love that too ! I signed up for my first swap a few days ago and I already know that I got the "swap virus" !
U2, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Fray... Vivaldi, Mozard... And a lot of French and Italian singers.
Douglas Kennedy and Fred Vargas are authors that I really appreciate... But they are not the only ones. I like books in general.
Shameless, Ugly Betty, Dexter, House, Lost, Monk, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy... And a lot more ! But american TV is still something new for me, there is so much to catch up... However days are never long enough to do everything, and TV is not my first priority.
Flash, our first dog, was a Cairn Terrier. A funny one who share our life during more than 15 years. Our second one was Congo, a large Schnauzer, who now lives in South of France, with friends of us. Last year we adopted a cat, Minette, from a shelter, here in US. She is almost 2 years old now and she is funny, sweet, and nice with everybody (event with our couches !) She is an inside cat. It was wrotten on her tag at the shelter, and as we often see prairie wolves and foxes in our backyard, it's safer for her.
And to be complete, I should add that we also had a hermit crab for 7 years ! He is still alive but same than for our dog, we had to let it in France... Not aloud to move with us in US... Even if originally, it came from North Carolina !
I hate the fact that my English is not fluent ! And I apoligize for all the mistakes I make, writing (... It's even worse when I speak, can you imagine ?!!!)
My interior is contemporary with also some vintage country furnitures from France.
I'm a big fan of american flag (with vintage look) and I love american stars too !
I like all season, every months, every days of week and almost all colors (not a fan of neon and dark green)
I like humor, and I'm supposed to be a funny one... But I have hard time to be funny in English...
I'm not a fan of Hello Kitty, Disney and other youth stuff... To tell the truth I never enjoyed to play with a doll even when I was a little girl, so...
I'm a sugar lover... but I just began a diet, so please, no cookies/candies for now !
Everyday, I find a lot of reasons to feel happy, and to be nice with others. This is my only religion. And if we have of guardian angel (it is something that I could believe sometimes), up to now, mine has been a great and nice one !!!
Please, let me know in case you would not receive my exchange, I would send another one. I'm a nice person and try my best to make things right, but in case I'ld misunderstand something (I told you about my poor English !) let me know, because I really don't want you to be disappointed.
