My career is in higher education and it is my passion. When I'm not working, I enjoy learning, meeting new people, spending time with my friends, and cooking.

I have two cats. I watch too much TV. My favorite color is purple. I do not eat meat or dairy. I like pirates.

My crafty self

I crochet, make jewelry (beads), and enjoy creating things of all sorts. Through this site, I've dabbled in making ATCs and postcards; I can see myself doing more of those. I used to make scrapbooks but have not done that on a regular basis in awhile.

There are few crafts that don't keep my attention. I truly enjoy seeing things that people create and have an appreciation for art and craft from others.

There is always room for...

beads, stickers, cupcake papers, pens, anything with butterflies, books, blank CDs, postage stamps, socks, warm gloves (no fur or leather), handmade crafts...

If I had a few million dollars

I would...

join more swaps.

travel the world.

pay off my friends' and family members' debt (after getting rid of my own first!).

hire a personal trainer.

get a new wardrobe.

open a vegan restaurant and bakery.

buy a house.

Favorite Music

Melissa Ferrick, Sarah McLauchlan, REM, Pearl Jam, Idina Menzel, Madonna, Regina Spektor... I love music and listen to it whenever I have the chance.

Comment: I don't like rating ones, but I feel at this point that I have to. I received an email a while back (around January 20-something) that JennaLo was going to send me her partner's journal because she felt she didn't put enough effort into hers. I wrote back saying she shouldn't worry about the decorations, etc, and that she wrote in the journal, which was all the mattered. I did not hear back from her, and she hasn't been on SB for a while. I think she is no longer swapping for a while. Anyhow, I have not received anything, and I will be happy to change the rating if a journal comes my way.

Comment: Although I think jellyfish are beautiful to look at in an aquarium, I can attest it is not so much fun to get stung by them. :) Thanks for the postcard!
Response: Growing up, I was afraid of them. We'd see them a lot, washed up on the shore in NJ, and I'd run away. If we saw one in the water, I'd cry. Good times... :-)
