I'm reliable and dependable.
Some things about me...I'm a Christian wife and mother, been married for 23 years. I have 10 children. Oldest is 18 years and youngest is 22 months. I have a set of fraternal boy twins who are 4 years old. I also educate my children at home. We love being together.
My favorite color is pink and I also like yellow, turquoise, and green. I like the brown/pink or brown/blue combinations. I love swirly designs or stripes, gingham is also a love of mine.
I love M & Ms candy, especially the peanut or almond variety. I don't chew gum much because then my younger children will want it and they'll tend to not dispose of it properly :(
I like Classical music or hymns. I especially like to listen to my daughter playing the acoustic guitar.
biography, non-fiction, cookbooks on health eating, sewing books, crafts. Also devotional books by Christian authors. A couple on my wish list... The Five Love Languages of Teenagers by Dr. Gary Chapman, Choosing Forgiveness by Nancy Leigh DeMoss, A 30-Day Walk with God in the Psalms by Nancy Leigh DeMoss
Hobbies... I like to scrapbook. I love scrapbook papers of different kinds, textured, geometrics, bold colors, stripes, florals. I use brads, eyelets, fabric trims, ribbons, rub-ons, inspirational quotes, scripture verses, colored staples, metal eyelets.
I enjoy sewing and lately have been making aprons, skirts, bibs, and I want to try an online tutorial I found for those cloth baby shoes that are so adorable. I like to organize and declutter also. I love magazines and books about organizing. Cooking new recipes is a favorite hobby of mine. I love to discover great new meals to cook up for my family. We love Mexican food, salads, Italian food and great healthy dishes. I would love to begin gardening but I know nothing about it...so some encouragement in that area from an experienced garderner is appreciated. I want to start with flowers and then try to grow vegetables.
I'm not really fond of cartoon characters or licenced characters from television or movies. I don't have a collection of anything, probably because with so many children, I try to be a minimalist in my home-decorating so I don't have lots of knick-knacks to dust.
A couple notes about holidays...We don't observe Halloween. And, although I like fall colors, we don't experience the season of fall here so it is really foreign to me. At Christmas, I'm not into Santa Claus. I don't ban him, I just don't emphasize him so I would prefer not to have fabric or decorations with Santa on it. I do like snowmen though, go figure, I'm in Miami, Fl and I like snowmen.
I prefer full aprons, but half aprons are welcome. I am a size 8-10 or Medium. I'm 5'10 tall. I love rick-rack, eyelet trim, gingham, seersucker, fabric designs by Heather Bailey, Michael Miller, Amy Butler, the Japanese fabrics out there. I'm very easy to please, really. I'd be happy with anything made for me.
My favorite color is pink, I love it paired with other colors as well. Pink stripes, pink geometrics, pink gingham, and I also love many other bright colors. I like brown with pink, brown with blue. I also like yellow with pink and I like many shades of green...lime, sage, hunter... blues are also great...I guess you could say I love a lot of colors.
