About Me... Hi. I live in Scotland with my partner and four cats. I love crafting and enjoy a variety of craft hobbies. I make cards and have started a scrapbook. I am about to start making ATCs and perhaps postcards, which will be fun. I like knitting and I sew when I can. I draw and do digital painting whenever I can and I make earrings. I have just started going to quilting classes and I'm making a lap quilt. This could very well become a passion. I enjoy the countryside and the garden, flowers and animals. I take lots of photographs, but I am not a very good photographer. Possibly my most important hobby or interest is my cats.
Favourite music... classical, jazz, soul, rock and pop, but mostly classical.
Favourite Books... I love books and reading and will read most genres, although I don't enjoy anything that is too violent. I belong to an online book forum www.bookclubforum.co.uk and used to belong to a bookclub in my town, but am too slow with my reading to keep up with both clubs so have given the local one up temporarily. Some of my favourites books would include:- Cold Comfort Farm - Stella Gibbons The Woman in White - Wilkie Collins If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things - Jon McGregor Matthew Flinders Cat - Bryce Courtenay and many more. I will add them as I remember! Favourite Authors would include:- Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell,Terry Pratchett, Nora Roberts, Tess Gerritsen, Stuart MacBride, and many more...
I am not a great film fan. I have a few favourites, such as Nightmare Before Christmas, The Green Mile, Brokeback Mountain, Educating Rita.I also adore Kiwi's delivery Service and The return of the cat, and Howls Moving Castle...(anime) Doubtless there are more, but I can't remember.
Again...I don't have much time for television. I can take it or leave it. I enjoyed some of the older American series, like Thirty Something, Hill street Blues, ER etc, oh and Ally McBeal! I watch Corrie and Emmerdale, and the Bill, but don't lose any sleep if I miss them!
Did I mention that I adore cats?? My four are very spoilt and much loved felines and my life pretty much revolves around them! I wouldn't have it any other way! Fabric...I love quilting fabrics and am always on the lookout to increase my stash. I sometimes love a fabric so much that I delay using it...I have this great desire to use it to make something, but it is often tempered by a reluctance to cut a material. I love bears, but have no space for any more, so my hug is as full as it can get. I love card-making and my art and most crafts. I think quilting is going to turn into a passion too! I also love trees and the countryside and animals...sheep and cows, rabbits foxes, mice love them all.And birds. I particularly like drawing birds. I don't lknow why. Maybe the general shape or something.
purple, black, green, pinks and crimsons, blues. Sparkle and glitter is lovely in moderation. I like most colours, but not khaki or olive or mustard. Most colours are ok when in the right context.
In no particular order, card making, scrapbooking, cross stitch, tapestry, sewing, knitting, crochet, drawing and painting, beading...making earrings, quilting...
I would be happy to receive anything crafty, especially stamps, punches (though they are too heavy for most swaps) paper / cardstock /vellum, mulberry etc. Eyelets, brads, peel-offs. I am a maniac for fabric, (100% cotton)in any size...FQs, fat eigths, squares etc, and I love polka dot, ditsy flower prints, daisies, purples and crimson patterns, batiks etc.I love prmitive stuff too. And Amish... Ribbon, braid,ric-rac are also favourites. I have just acquired a cuttlebug, (my 'green pea') so cuttlebug dies/embossing, quickutz dies, would be appreciated (second hand welcome if still in working order or unwanted. Art pens and crayons, pastels etc...What else...felt, homemade cards, ATCs - anything like the above would be gratefully received. Other items might be anything to do with cats, beads, stationary, books (though heavier), ...I'll add to this as I think of things.
... girly things, (although I love Hello kitty and Miffy!) But make-up, stickers, dolls I am not very keen on.Please don't send a Dotee doll, and I'd rather not receive food in the post, though I love Earl Grey Tea.. That said, I would appreciate anything someone had taken the time to make for me.

For my leaf postcards, I layered leaves on a card and then covered them with clear plastic packing tape. I made a couple that had leaves on both sides - for one, I wrote on white stickers, for another I just wrote on the packing tape with a pen that contrasted with the leaves. My third leaf card was one-sided.
