My favorite music: I love the Big Band era, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, music from the 20's and 30's, Enya (my favorite is The Memory of Trees), Musicals, Movies (my favorite is Last of the Mohicans) Renaissance, Barouque, Classical, Cher, Military, Phil Collins; gosh I better stop or this could go on for a bit...

I am a big history buff, consequently I read rather dry stuff according to others. My favorite authors in this area are: Thomas Cahill, Burckhardt, Gies, MacCulloch, Seward, Burton, Derek Wilson, Paul Johnson, Andrew Bridgeford. Therefore, most, and I do mean most but not all fiction I read must have a historical base. My all time favorite author is Taylor Caldwell. Then next in line would be Diana Gabaldon, Elizabeth Peters, Jodi Picoult, Alison Wier, and of course I have read the Twlight series and Harry Potter.

I love the movies and the big screen. Titanic is my favorite along with Brave Heart, Last of the Mohicans, Starwars and I know there are many others but the key is to watch them on the big screen with a great audiance!

As in the Curious Life of Benjamin Button, I am living life backwards. I believe that "Life is ours to be spent, not saved" D.H.Lawrence. I want every moment to count.
I love the outdoors. I have a Kayak and go as often as possible. I am a beginning hiker. I have always loved to walk and have taken to going on short day hikes. Last year I went to several national parks and hiked my legs off. I love to garden and I have 60 roses. Roses and hydrangeas are my favorite flower (as if any can be excluded!) I love to scrap book and make cards. I belong to a scrapbooking club and follow several blogs and I have entered a few of the challengs when time permits. I love photography ( I am an amateur). I do mostly landscape and micro shots of nature. I love history and archeaology, specifically the Medieval and Renaissance period. One day I hope to dig my way across Europe (my fantasy). And last but not least I am the family historian and geneaologist!

I love NCIS. Other than that TV is seconday and on an as need to fill time basis.

Well, I probably answered some of this above but I have some to add :) I love to sew, cross stitch, embroider, needle point, scrapbook, and make cards. I would love to learn how to quilt!
