I'm a teacher/journalist and mom of two wonderful girls, one 12 years old and the other is 8 . Being a cat person there are also two cats in the house: a regular housecat and a norwegian forest cat.Then there are the five hens and of course, our dog; a cocker spaniel.

I've always loved languages and that's why I chose french at the university, as well as mass communication theory. Since then I've added a master's degree in journalism and a teaching degree.

What do I like...lemme see. I'm an avid role-player along with my husband (two nerds in the family, our poor children!) and usually play once a week or so. Our system is a home-grown space opera :) I do like playing fantasy and vampire too though...happy sigh.

More? Ok. I love travelling, reading (mostly sci-fi and fantasy), cinema and spending time on the Internet doing meaningless but highly entertaining things like babble on Facebook, exchanging jokes, browse on-line shops and see what's out there. I also like writing. I write fantasy (yeah, big surprise there!) and short stories. One day I'm gonna be published...one day....dreamy sigh.

Fantasy is what I mostly like. Mercedez Lackey, George R R Martin, Robert Jordan, Laurell K Hamilton, Tolkien, Charlaine Harris, Sherrily Kenyon (what can I say, I'm a sucker for good looking guys, romance and myths all rolled into one!), Kim Harrison, Ilona Andrews.

Also some fine authors such as Alice Sebold and Carlos Ruiz Zafón (Shadow of the Wind, what fantastic work of fiction!).

The Scarlett Pimpernell, The Princess Bride, Willow, A Fish Called Wanda, Top Gun.

Medium, SG series, Firefly, True Blood, Dexter, House, Game of Thrones.

Writing. I have dabbled in other things such as painting but it is not my strong suit although I enjoy it :) Just now discovering ATC! Looks promising :)

Let's see....what do I like. Hand-drawn/painted cards. Purple, blue, deep red. Not so much into black. Fantastical creatues, magic, fairies. Cats. Travels, languages. Vintage, books, poetry. Action, adventure and romance. Impressionism, Renoir: You were a genius :) Northern lights and starry nights. I'll probably add to this later :)

Please take note that like others I often use that last available day to finish the things I am sending as the last day to send is usually a Saturday. Here in Iceland, however, there is no mail service on the weekend. So if I put things in the mailbox on that day it will only be taken by the mailman on Monday. My postage date will therefore usually be 2 days after the date given as last day. Sorry!

Having the envelopes simply stamped instead of getting a real postage stamp on them ;)
