After my summer break from swapping I am excited to get crafting again!
If for some reason you do not get what I send to you, please send me a message! So far I have been sending things out at most 3 days after getting my assigned partners. I know that occasionally things get lost in the mail. I will be more than happy to send a replacement if this happens.
I live in a small town with my husband and our 4 year old daughter. I work part-time for the Post Office, delivering mail on a rural route. We have 2 silly dogs and 3 crazy wild cats. We are very close to mountains and rivers so we like to venture out and explore the beautiful land around us.
Aside from working and raising my daughter, I also attend school. I am in my last term of community college and hope to move on to a university.
In the winter months I enjoy knitting and crafting small things. I love making collages and little gifts for people. In the summer months I must always find time for my garden!
I have always been fascinated receiving letters in my mailbox. I like to imagine the entire process that piece of paper has gone through to get to my doorstep. The world is a big place, but sharing something as simple as a small postcard or a letter makes it smaller and more intimate. Can you tell I like mail? :)
I love handmade items. I like unique and interesting images. However, I really do want to leave much up to the sender. I love reading excerpts from your day, about a movie or a book you enjoyed recently, a funny joke you'd like to tell me. Anything really! I love letters, little items you've collected, such as pressed flowers, leaves, slightly larger items such as interesting rocks, (which I love). Even buttons and other such little chachkies.
I love old gardening books and old children's books. I have been searching for old field drawings of bugs and birds. I love the old illustrations in these books. I particularly love the children's book illustrator 'Eulalie Banks'. She shares her name with the best little girl I know, my daughter. :)
I am a big fan of vintage, chickens, elephants and old random photos. I also have a fairly extensive salt and pepper collection.
POSTCARDS, what I like, but not limited to...I really do like to see what people pick out to send me :)
-Vintage
-Paintings
-Landscape
-Historical
-Interesting or odd
-Chickens, Elephants, Snails
TEAS
-Green/Black
-Chai

-I don't care too much for fruity teas, like strawberry or peach. Although if the swap is calling for tea and all you have is fruity, by all means send my way. I am sure my daughter would like it or when company comes I can offer it up!
I like many different music genres and groups. Some of my favorite are:
Cat Power, Bon Iver, The Flaming Lips Cat Stevens, The Beastie Boys, Neil Young, NOFX, Devil Makes Three, Sam Cooke, Betty Blowtorch, Patsy Cline, Bob Dylan...to name just a few.

I truly hope that you enjoyed your birthday and that it was everything you wanted it to be. It was my pleasure to angel for you. And tell your daughter I'll be excited to see a pic of her new pink scarf. And as soon as I can get my sewing machine fixed I'll be mailing another little surprise! You have a wonderful christmas.
Hi Lisa! Thank you for the extremely cute sleeping pup king pc! Hope you can find a ribbon for your typewriter--I've been wondering when mine will run out, too!
