I am the mother of three. I dream of doing many things but never seem to have time to do much more than to keep the household running smoothly. I love sewing, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, playing piano and visiting with family and friends.

I'm a huge Jane Austen fan. Pride and Prejudice is my favorite. I've read everything written by James Herriot. He's the British vet who has written voluminously about his real-life experiences. I've read Abel's Island many times. Some might call it a children's book but I delight in how the author puts words together.

My favorite life-time movie is The Sound of Music. It is the first movie I ever saw. Others I delight in reviewing are: Witness, The Winslow Boy, Dear Frankie, Roman Holiday and You've Got Mail.
Special thanks go to my British friends for Doc Martin--my newest addiction. What a delightful program. If anybody knows when they're starting on season 4, please let me know.

I love to crochet. It's pure fun for me to just sit and crochet but I don't often have the time. I learned to do heirloom sewing about 15 years ago and of all sewing projects, that gives me the most satisfaction. I've dabbled in quilting.

3. ♥ office supplies (especially Sharpies-ultra fine);
4. ♥ hankies (second hand or new)--I collect them;
5. ♥ Body Shop products;
6. ♥ interesting or unusual marbles for my little boy;
7. ♥ Big Hunk candy bars (nougat with peanuts)--we can't get them in Canada;
8. ♥ anything with vintage lace on it;
9. ♥ Please don't think I'm crazy, but I love washlines. Send me a picture of your laundry blowing in the breeze and I'll love it!; and
10. ♥ your tried and true recipes.
