Full-time working mom of two (son, turned 7 in March, daughter, turned 6 in May) in a period of serious self-discovery right now. Trying all kinds of new things in looking for that right fit. Most of my spare time (I have spare time?) is spent reading, writing, and finding creative outlets.

My favorite colors are jewel tones, and I love things that are fun and funky for creative purposes, although I dress pretty conservatively. I'm not much of a needle and thread kinda gal, but creative gluing is another story.

Things that make my heart go pitter-pat: the perfect pen, things that smell yummy, watches, coffee with just the right flavors added, sushi, chocolate, logic puzzles, playing board games with my family, a new creative project that doesn't require a huge initial investment, organizers, going someplace new (anyplace new - city, restaurant, store, street - it's just the newness that matters), geocaching, and teaching my children new things.

Things I'd rather avoid: taking my children to the doctor, insomnia, scratchy textiles, unfiltered tap water, people (and things) that take themselves too seriously, fast food, yellow, and monotony.

I love 80's music the most - some 70's and 90's and 00's too, but the "alternative" bands from the 80's are still my favorite. Although, for some reason, I've started to tune in the Pussycat Dolls lately - would someone please tell me why?

Being the mom of two with a full-time job, my movies have to be delivered to me. (Three cheers for Netflix!) Recently saw and loved "The Holiday". Classics include "Like Water for Chocolate", "Notting Hill", "The Princess Bride".

I like reality shows - mostly the stuff on Bravo like "Top Chef" and "Top Design", LOVE, LOVE "Hells Kitchen", also watch "Survivor" but tops on the list of non-reality stuff is "Gray's Anatomy".

Cooking - I swear it's a craft! I also dabble in jewelry making, and puttin' stuff together. I want to learn to crochet, but I'm not sure how that's gonna go.
