8/13/07 I just discovered this website while searching for a Secret Santa exchange on bookcrossing.com. I enjoy reading and love the idea of reading a book , commenting about it and sending it on for others to read.

My passion is letterboxing . I love the hunt and then finding some wonderful places to visit. I love the walk in the woods. My husband and I just returned from England where letterboxing started. www.letterboxing.org My boxing name is Pine Tree. 2008 I have also discovered geocaching which is very similar to letterboxing ( sort of a high tech version)

MY FAVORITE MUSIC I would have to say ...soft rock. James Taylor, Michael Buble, Celine Dion, Beatles ... No hard rock. Bing Crosby White Christmas ,Frank Sinatra . I do not have a vast collection of CDs. While driving to work I listern to the local soft rock radio station . While at the gym I listen to a variety of music on my Shuffle .......some upbeat, some ballads , some oldies .

FAVORITE BOOKS I enjoy reading . Jddi Picoult, Fannie Flagg, Diane Garbaldon !!! Jan CAron . Overall, I tend to gravitate to sstrong independent women . Bold, pioneer type . Historical fiction too. Horror themes are not current on my reading list . I do enjoy discovering books.

Favorite Movies I loved and still love Sound of Music. The Natural , Mary Poppins , Wuthering Heights. Alfred HItchcock. I love the classics including Disney. When I am at the gym I tend to watch AMC and TNT.... a soft spot for Black and White oldies.

Favorite TV I love This Old HOuse when I can watch it. I love old Movies . Survivor , LOST . Right now I love the home and garden channel . The home make overs, curb appeal, Sell my house , How much is my house worth, Flip that house ......

I am married and have 2 girls . I am a Girl Scout Leader of a Cadette/Senior troop and we love to travel !!!! ( 6 girls all Juniors in HS 2008) We love NYC. My youngest is a Brownie .

I love animals and recently lost our cat .( update : we have a new gray and white cat that we adopted off the street )

My favorite color is blue and my house is a Cape with a country theme not too cluttered .

I was born and raised in Maine so I have strong attachments to New England.

I collect Dept 56 New England Series items. I also collect water pitchers.

During the school year , I am employed as an Elementay Speech Pathologist . Recently I changed jobs to a smaller school system . I had worked at my previous school for 20 years .

Crafts : When many oldest daughter was younger I would make many crafts and sew halloween costumes . I have not done these things in a long time . I would like to learn how to carve rubber stamps.
