I joined this site 13 years ago and participate in one swap. It was fun, but then I wasn't able to do it anymore. All these years later I decided to come back and give it another go:) I still consider myself a newbie at this point, but I would love to start joining some swaps again!!
I am married and I have 2 adult children, 2 cats, and 2 dogs.
I am a Preschool teacher. My students are 4 and 5 years old. It is an exhausting job, but very rewarding :)
My Hobbies...
I have a lot! My main interests are Crochet, Jewelry making, Polymer clay, Bullet Journaling, and paper crafting. However, I do on occasion embroidery, plastic canvas, acrylic painting, watercolors, and sewing.
I like a lot of the vintage ephemera when it comes to my paper and journaling crafts. I like to read when I can find the time, but my tastes are so specific, that I can hardly find something that really piques my interest, lol.
What I collect...
I love anything from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. I am a huge fan of pinups and anything rockabilly. I love all things Vintage! Old photos, old postcards, old jewelry, etc. I love to watch classic movies like Singing in the rain or Casablanca. My favorite actor is Gene Kelly.
Anything Halloween! Fall and Halloween are my favorite part of the year. I have more Halloween decor than any other holiday and I will never turn down more...lol.
I have a deep love for East Asian cultures. My favorite is South Korea, however, I love them all. I love the languages, clothing(traditional), music, and especially history.
I love Tikis! I have always loved the tropical tiki decor and in fact, my classroom is all Hawaiian decor.
I listen to quite a wide variety of music.
My favorite band would have to be Oasis as I have listened to them since I was about 16. However, I do listen to Kpop and my favorite group is not BTS, though I do like like them. My favorite Korean group is called Infinite. I tend to also listen to a lot of 1950s and 1960s music. The 1980s was a big part of my growing up, so I will always love that music as well.
Things that I don't like... Anything floral smelling. It physically makes me ill, especially the smell of roses. Crazy right?
Food sent by mail. Call me funny, but I am just not comfortable eating any food sent to me.
