Hello there!
My name is Laura, and I live in Canada with my amazing boyfriend and my delightful feline, Pumpkin.
I currently do freelance work as a graphic designer, having recently left my 12 year career in cosmetics. When not working on freelance projects I adore pursuing anything creative.
I have been drawing since I was a young child, and have picked up other artistic hobbies over the years as well (including but not limited to painting, pottery, jewelry, hair baubles, sculpting, wood burning, etc.). I am also an avid reader, and devour novels quite voraciously when I have the opportunity. I love movies, but do not typically bother with television.
Other interests of mine are hiking, cooking, gardening, baking, physical fitness, healthy eating, waist training (through corsetry/tightlacing), performance, music, and surrounding myself with beauty!
In terms of things I would like to receive, the category is very open! I have extremely eclectic tastes, and feel that whatever may be sent to me displays a bit of the character of the sender. As such, I am open to all people as I am open to all things!
I will never turn down art supplies of any type, as I pursue so many creative avenues that I will be sure to use them! Any stationery or paper goods are most welcome as well, but of course anything sent genuinely will be received with the same quality of sentiment! Oh! And I love love love love ultra fine-point colourful pens. I have had friends bring me some back from China and Japan in the past, and as it is so much harder to find 0.3 and 0.4 tipped pens here in Canada, that is something I will always love to receive. The finer the tip the better!
I find myself saving the oddest things sometimes for assorted projects, so do not think something too random or too strange to send if it is something you feel inclined to give.
If you desire to send me food/perishable products, please ensure that it is not something that can go bad if too long in the mail, and is allowed through Canadian customs if you are sending internationally (I will take this moment to mention that I am a fiend for tea of any sort!).
Additionally, for hygienic reasons, if you wish to send me any cosmetic items, or creams/lotions/bath products, etc., please only send them unused and in sealed original packaging where possible (exceptions in the case of handmade bar soaps and such where there is no sealed original packaging).
Thanks for taking the time to read through - I look forward to swapping with you!!
