Greetings All! My name is Mary Margaret and I'm a long-time mail artist primarily interested in envelope art (I prefer to create with rubber stamps) but any mail art is good mail art:-) I also have intense interests in science, astronomy, reading, art, dogs, nature & Halloween-ALL YEAR -and all things funny, beautiful, or mysterious. If you can make anything you send me "funny, beautiful, and or mysterious" that would be great! Also, please include anything about YOU that you'd like to share! You should know: I NEVER flake! So, if you don't receive something from me, notify me and I'll mail to you again straight away!!!
I'm into rubber stamps and mail/envelope art big time! As for images & styles in Mail Art I like- in no particular order- Atypical, non-cute- Odd, vintage people, Celestial or Space images, Anthropomorphic animals or strange animals, Architecture structures or pieces, Ocean, Sea life, Clipper Ships & Pirates, Renaissance anything Castles, Crowns, etc- Unique Halloween images, Writing & Correspondence themes, Egyptian, Spooky Dark Gothic things, Plants, trees, etc. Clocks, Keys, Steampunk, Irreverent, unusual sayings. As for extras- pre-packaged tea, stationery, tags, ephemera, and things that can be used on or in envelopes, you know:-)
Dexter, Big Bang Theory, Breaking Bad, Late Late Show/Craig Ferguson, British Sitcoms, Nova and Science shows in general----- I'm also a Nerdfighter and online fan of the VlogBrothers, Hank & John Green- I never miss their videos on YouTube. They make being nerdy cool. DFTBA
Some movies I like enough to own: Harold & Maude, Billy Elliot, The Others, The Elegant Universe, Pan's Labyrinth, The Full Monty, Borat, Gormenghast, The MothMan Prophesies, Kinky Boots. And all of Eddie Izzard's DVDs;-)
I pretty much like all colors, although I don't like to see pink & brown or aqua/blue & brown together. I like tattered, handled, and time-worn looking things...aged mail has a certain old romance, ya? Think Gypsies, Shabby Chic, Stevie Nicks... The Fleur-de-lis symbol has appealed to me since I was a child.
If at all possible, when it comes to swaps, I don't really care to get overly sweet, cute, kid-oriented or childlike art; religious, inspirational, Christmas-themed, sports-related, Country-themed, or "thinking of you"-type art or items. I feel that these themes are...common and sometimes .. overdone. Honestly, I'd like you to have fun making something unusual, offbeat, wacky or odd, perhaps experiment with a medium you've not tried before, like collage or something- then send me the experiment!
I did a Green Envelope Swap & mailed to @Ann225 who has been totally suspended, so I did not receive a rating for this swap:-(

Welcome to All Things Halloween!
YOU are nice!! I like you!
Hi MrsSawbones, Thank you for the lovely message you left on my profile! I have tried to fill it in with my interests etc by looking at other swappers' profiles. Thanks for the tip! Let me know if you see anything on there I could maybe expand upon, writing about myself is harder than I thought it would be! Thanks again.
Thank you for my fun Halloween card, tea, and decorated envie. It arrived on Halloween! I will send you one today. What a nice surprise. :) I wish I could rate you with a 5 and a heart!! Thanks for doing extra in my swap. Tia :)
Just stopping by to say thank you for your kind words on the Mail Art for Beginners mess. It still hasn't been resolved. The swap coordinator has also contacted her. I may just be stuck with it.
Thank you very much for your warm words:)) I hope we'll meet in some swap one day.

Thanks for signing up for my swap and the nice comment on my profile! AND the mail art example link! I still haven't figured out how to include a link in my swap definition. I'm excited about all the mail art swaps because they are fun and easy, and you never know what you'll get!
