I am a 40 something single mom living in the St. Louis area. Came across this site merely by accident and was hooked. As a kid growing up I had pen pals all over the world, visiting one in France after 5 years of writing letters and swapping packages. This sounds like so much fun and am looking forward to making new friends via snail mail.

My apt is one giant craft closet (does it count that our apt is essentially closet free)! Would not go as far to say I am a hoarder, but definitely crafty. My favorites are crochet of all sorts--preferrably thread size 20 and smaller; upcycling of making new stuff from old stuff, some knitting, some embroidery, some sewing, tons of beads for jewelry making, bags of polymer clay for rainy day ideas--and prolly a gazillion other things in my closet forgetting to mention.

Guilty pleasure is definitely buying crochet magazines and cooking magazines. There is a new crochet mag from the U.K. that is absolutely gorgeous!

All music is amazing. I am a lover of all music minus rap and speed metal. It is more efficient to state what I don't like as there is very little on the "Do Not Like List."

Likes-any crafty bits, teas, beads, threads, stationary/pens, ATC, postcards, smashed pennies, foreign stamps, stickers, handmade jewelry, granny squares, crocheted motifs, crochet doily patterns,

Dislikes--Feathers, glitter.

I am a crafty person. Lately I've been crocheting a lot with thread to experiment creating doilies from vintage patterns. You'll find bits and pieces of any craft imagineable in my house. I like meeting new people and love writing letters. Honestly getting something in the mail other than junk mail or a bill would be fantastic. I am not picky. Please just send me something you'd like to receive in a stuffie envelope--seems quite fair.

1/9/2012 Update! Our family car was totaled right around Christmas. Three winks and a prayer--we are okay! Getting a replacement car etc has been a huge expense putting me behind a little in swaps. Please be patient and understand your swaps are on their way ASAP! I will be completely back on my feet by the end of the month. :)
