Hey all! I'm in my fifth year of teaching elementary music in rural Missouri. I play tenor saxophone and sing. I absolutely love field show marching band. Some of my fondest memories come from my times in marching band in high school. :)

I'm a big fan of Christian rock-type music. Casting Crowns, Newsong, Natalie Grant, etc, are all faves. I also enjoy classical music, jazz/blues - especially big band era jazz! I grew up listening to the Oldies of the 50s, 60s, & 70s and am a child of the 80s. I guess you could say I enjoy most genres of music, with the exception of rap, punk, and screamo-type music.

I have a great appreciation for the classics. My absolute favorite classic book is Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Right now I'm reading a book by John and Stasi Eldredge called Captivating. It is also very good... I highly recommend it!

The Wizard of Oz is my all-time favorite movie! I enjoy watching most musicals. Ever After is my favorite version of the Cinderella story. I'm a hopeless romantic and enjoy a good romantic comedy (like When Harry Met Sally). I also have a great appreciation for action-packed films like the Die Hard series.

Television... I like House, NCIS, Bones, Frasier, Roseanne, MASH, Lost, Mad About You, and some of the older shows like Golden Girls, Designing Women, and Mama's Family.

I enjoy cross-stitching and am learning how to crochet. My dish rags keep coming out wrong, though. It seems like I keep skipping over a loop or something. LOL, I'll figure it out eventually! :)
