My name is Shayla and I'm 37 years old. I'm a Libra. I have one 19-year-old daughter, Mikayla. I live with my daughter and my husband of 8 years, James.

I really love swapping but I can only participate once in a while. I'm currently unemployed and we all live off the hubby's money so that tends to put a damper on my spending. Postage is just so damn expensive!

I'm an animal lover...we have 3 doggies and 2 kitties. I would have more if we had the space ;)

I'm a California girl, born and bred. I love the wonderful weather we get most of the year! Give me mid-80's and Sun!!

Recently, I discovered the joy of having a pen pal. Someone posted a link to a pen pal website here on the bot and I ended up with 2 really lovely new friends from Japan.

My advice to everyone: Read this book: The Omnivore's Dilemma. It's a fascinating book that will make you rethink what you eat and where your food comes from.

I enjoy historical fiction, King Arthur type fairy tales, and anything that makes me laugh out loud like Tom Robbins.

I just recently watched Julie and Julia, I liked it but I thought they made Julia Child seem like a bitch at the end. I really enjoy cooking and my husband and I would like to open a diner or dessert shop some day.

I prefer coffee to tea. But I do like black iced tea.
