I'm here to swap (give great stuff, get great stuff) and meet great people.

I never considered myself “artsy” or very crafty but since being home and getting to watch networks such as HGTV, DIY and even the Food Network, my inner craftiness has been unleashed and I really enjoy learning the process of creating. I’ve always enjoyed collecting and putting together photo albums (and have a ton of loose photos to organize) and scrapbooking.

I was the only person I knew who took chain letters seriously and I've enjoyed the occasional pen pal throughout my childhood years. Since I can remember, I always loved receiving mail esp. cards, postcards and letters. I’ve come a long way since chain letters but I still enjoy the idea of exchanging. I would LOVE to learn how to sew (this is actually on my bucket list), needlepoint, and crochet. I really admire people who can create in this way.

I also love collecting. Items I’ve collected in the past include: key chains, magnets, postcards, shot glasses, pens and items with my name on it.

I love watching tv and some of my favs include: The Cosby Show, A Different World, The Jeffersons, Diff’rent Strokes, The King of Queens, My Wife & Kids, Three’s Company, The Office, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Seinfeld, The Facts of Life, Martin, Living Single, Miami Vice, The Incredible Hulk (Bill Bixby TV series).

I also enjoy watching these new shows: Modern Family, Cougar Town, The Middle, Bravo Housewives series, Tabatha's Salon Takeover and most of the real crime shows (A&E, ID, etc).

Too great to list my favs but a few include: Like Water for Chocolate, It's A Wonderful Life, Dr. Zhivago, Carmen Jones, Boyz in the Hood, The Usual Suspects, Muriel’s Wedding, Braveheart, Casino, The Devil Wears Prada (loved the book), Finding Forrester, Malcolm X (and most Spike Lee films), Carlito’s Way, The Freshman, The Untouchables, Max Dugan Returns, Friday, Coming to America.

I like action, drama, comedy, dramedy, documentaries/historical accounts.

I enjoy reading books of substance and I’ve read a book as such in almost every genre, Chick-Lit & Christian Chick-Lit are 2 of my favs. No horror.

I also LOVE magazines and usually read those since as of late, I can't seem to complete a book. My favs. include: ESSENCE, Black Enterprise, Time, People, Life & Style, In Touch, Honey, O, JET, Ebony and anything related to celebrity gossip, beauty, lifestyle and fashion.

Likes: Honest, responsible and friendly swappers, anything with tropical/colorful fish motif, anything colored pink, items with my name on it, holiday ornaments (nothing gaudy & no Santa Claus), photo albums/frames (all sizes), scrapbooks and materials, gel pens, bookmarks, stationary, postcards, stickers, journals, calendars, day planners, magnets (no foods or fruits), address labels, word searches, color pencils, neon colored post-its, homemade soap, travel sized items, small bottles of perfumed body oils, scented candles, candle warmers, Little Trees and Yankee Candle car freshners, Disney characters, Sesame Street characters, Peanuts characters, Hello Kitty, board games, card games, scented chapstick, scented lip gloss, nail polish, jewelry, colorful/unique-theme styled socks (Size: 9-11), slippers, recipes, coffee flavored candy, milk chocolate (nothing fancy or with any kind of nut or fruit..Hershey's Kisses: plain, swirl, caramel filled, plain M&M's, Andee's choc. mint, homemade choc. fudge, etc.) gumballs and jawbreakers.

For the most part, I like any kind of knick-knack.

Dislikes: Dishonesty, clowns, anything ghoulish or part of a horror genre including vampires, devils, pitchforks, ghosts, goblins, witches, bats, coffins, anything mystical or "magic," small/tiny items, sunflowers/flower motifs, roosters, chickens, anything to do with farms and insects.
